Over 600,000 people watchedthe reveal livestreamforOblivion Remastered, many of whom went on to buy the game as soon as the livestream was over. For some, it was not so easy, though, as problems with the PlayStation Store have made it nigh on impossible for some PlayStation owners to purchase and download the game.
AlthoughOblivion Remasteredis available on PS5, for many, it doesn’t show up when they search for it on the PlayStation Store tab of their console’s dashboard. Thankfully, there are a few very simple workarounds for those having trouble buyingOblivion Remastered, although using them will require a PC or smartphone.
For those who can’t find the game on their console, the best way to buyOblivion Remasteredis to visit thePlayStation Storethrough the browser on their computer or smartphone and buy it from there. Assuming they’re logged in to their primary PSN account when they do so, their purchase will show up under the Game Library tab on their console right away and they’ll be able to download it from there. They may also be able to buyOblivion Remasteredthrough the official PS App on their smartphone and set it to download automatically after completing their purchase, although some people have reported that the game isn’t showing up there either.
Why Can’t I Find Oblivion Remastered on the PlayStation Store?
Although there’s been no official word on what’s causing the issues withOblivion Remasteredon PS5, some people are speculating that this could be an intentional strategy fromSonyto lessen the strain on their download servers, although that’s all speculation at this point. With more than one hundred thousand people downloading the game through Steam in the hour or so after its release, though, we are talking petabytes of data, which could prove probelematic for some commercial servers.
