Spring Meadows is the first major area you’ll explore inClair Obscur: Expedition 33. As you make your way through the area, you will get to recruit the second member of your party, Lune. Eventually, the duo will get to a Rest Point calledAbandoned Expeditioners Camp, where aNevron named Jarcan be found.
If you speak to Jar before proceeding on with your quest, he will mention that he is in need of a light source so that he can “shine.” The game doesn’t really tell you what the Nevron needs, so this guide will coverhow to help Jar find his light (and the rewards for doing so)inClair Obscur: Expedition 33.
How to Find Light for Jar in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Resinis the Answer
In order to obtain the light that Jar seeks, you will need to find a key item in the world calledResinand then bring it back to the Nevron. Luckily,Resinis not too far away from the Nevron and the campsite, and you can find it here in Spring Meadows.

Look for the Purple Item
Go forward on the path afterpassing the Abandoned Expeditioner rest point, and you will eventually get to a section where it seems like there are two split paths (but they actually just lead to the same place).
You can head to the left, cross the bridge, go down the slope, and then, to the right, you should see a purple glowing item near some barrels and crates. This is theResinthat the Nevron seeks.
Now,take theResinback to Jar. Once the conversation ends, you’ll need toaim your projectile at the scepter in Jar’s hand and shoot itto activate its light.
Keep speaking to Jar, and you will be rewarded with aHealing Tint Shard, allowing you to use an extra healing item during combat.
Should You Fight Jar in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
It Feels Bad…
Speak to Jar again, and you can fight him if you choose. Upon defeat, the monster will drop threeColour of Luminaand aChroma Catalyst.
It’s worth noting that the Nevron will disappear if you decide to battle. We’re not currently sure if this affects anything later on. There do seem to be other Nevron that may require key items from Gustave to reap some important rewards.
