Super CubeIs About An Average Boy Who Stumbles Upon A High-Dimensional Artifact

An Underdog Who Rises Up To Become The Strongest

Based on a Chinese Manhua from Shuiluo Sheng Sheng,Super Cubeis about a young boy, Wang Xiaoxiu, who is always scared to stand up against his bullies. However, after learning that this childhood crush, Shen Yao, also likes him, Wang somehow finds the courage. Wang doesn’t take up the fight against bullies for himself but to defend the dignity of his would-be-girlfriend. But things take a rather unexpected turn whenWang comes across an other-dimensional artifact calledSuper Cube.

This Cube was possibly created by some higher-intelligence civilization that grants extraordinary abilities to its user. Instantly, after getting merged with the artifact, Wang is able to teleport to long distances. He also gets an incredible boost in power and speed, which makes the boyalmost superhuman. There’s one catch, though, Wang has to search for any form of gems or stones to unleash the cube’s full potential. The more gems he collects for the cube, the stronger he gets.

Wang was having a great time exploring these newly-found powers, but before he could get fully accustomed to the Cube, tragedy befalls. Shen Yao gets kidnapped by Yan Luo, who also hires several super-abled humans to defend him. Apparently, a few years back, Shen Yao was saved by a mysterious man, Xigu Qin, from being kidnapped or possibly killed. That same mysterious man bullied Yan Luo and cut off his fingers. Yan Luo held a grudge against Xigu Qin for several years anddecided to kidnap Shen Yao to lure Xigu Qin out into the real world. However, Yan Luo never imagined that he would create another strong enemy in the process, Wang Xiaoxiu. Wang, who was once considered a coward, shows up to save his girlfriend, which eventually leads up to aseries of exciting battles.

Super CubeOffers World-Class Animation, But The Story Needs To Get Better

The Story Does Get Better In Manhua, Though

The animation work inSuper Cubeanime is undoubtedly worth every praise. Each and every frame in the anime is a work of art— Episode 7, specifically, will be considered one of the best works of animation fans got to see in 2025. The seventh episode was a non-stop action sequence that makes you wonder what this anime will have to offer next. In fact, it was the fight sequence in the seventh episode that helped the series go viral in the anime community. All being said, the story ofSuper Cubeis where the creators need to put a little more effort.

While the animation inSuper Cubesets a new benchmark for Japanese animation, the story goes all over the place. Wang gets accustomed to the Cube and the fact that super-powered beings exist in this world way too quickly. The series bombards you with different forms of enemies and hidden organizations altogether, making it difficult for anyone to keep up. Of course, the great animation and fight sequences don’t let your interest waver even for a second, butSuper Cubecan’t survive for long without a great story.

Fortunately, though, there are enough mysteries and interesting plot pointsthat the series will explore in future episodes. For instance, fans who watch the series may get curious about Xigu Qin, the overpowered man who, surprisingly, will remind you ofGojo fromJujutsu Kaisen. Regardless,Super Cubehas great potential not only in terms of animation but also in terms of story. The Manhua also received the same form of criticism, but the story got surprisingly good as it progressed. Hopefully, the Chinese anime adaptationwill get more recognition from fans, and they will get to see meaningful depth in Wang’s story through more seasons.
