TheWabbajackcan be obtained inOblivion Remasteredwithout having even started the Shivering Isles DLC, as it’s a base game artifact that’s well worth the chaos that Sheogorath unfolds, so without further ado, here’s how to get it.

Where to Find the Sheogorath Shrine in Oblivion Remastered

To start the quest for Wabbajack, players must be at least Level 2. Now, head to Sheogorath’s Shrine, which can be found on the north-west side of Leyawiin by following the road to Bravil. At Sheogorath’s Shrine, players can interact with Ferul Ravel, a follower of Sheogorath who will direct players to seek out three specific items to conduct a ritual and speak with Sheogorath, and the ritual items are as follows:

Where to Find Lettuce, Lesser Soul Gem, and Yarn in Oblivion Remastered

These three random items can easily be found by going to the Imperial City’s Market District. Each of the items will have a set location, and it’s easier to grab them all here:

Purchased from Calindil at Mystic Emporium, Market District

Yarn

Found within crates and barrels in the open area of the Market District

With the three ritual items acquired, players can head back to the Shrine of Sheogorath, where they can now interact with it and leave their offerings at the altar. Upon doing this, Sheogorath will speak to the player and task them with stirring up trouble in the nearby settlement of Border Watch. Border Watch can be found just south of the Sheogorath Shrine on the road back to Leyawiin on the west side.

How to Start the First Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered

How to Get the Orloy Cheese

To begin Sheogorath’s request, players will need to seek out Ri’Bassa. This NPC is a khajiit with black robes, and uponspeaking to him, they can ask about the K’Sharra Prophecy. From here, it’s important to say “I am a traveling scholar.” to get on Ri’Bassa’s good side, as players willneed 60 Disposition. At this point, ask about the “Three Signs”, which will begin the necessary steps to making the prophecy come true.

For the first prophecy, players will need to start a rat plague. This can be easily achieved by heading to the Border Watch Inn. Once inside, look to the display case on the right, which contains the Olroy Cheese. This is behind a locked display case, so players have three ways of obtaining it:

stealing the olroy cheese

With the Orloy Cheese acquired, players can return to the center, where there is a cooking pot where the cheese can be placed inside. Once inside, wait around for a bit, where oversized rats will begin to arrive. This will cause Ri’Bassa to place Rat Poison around the area, so follow him and pick up the Rat Poison as he places it down. He will only place two Rat Poisons.

How to Start the Second Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered

The second prophecy involves poisoning sheep, and so long as players have started the first prophecy, this will be extremely easy. After starting the first prophecy, Ri’Bassa will drop Rat Poison on the ground that players can pick up. With this Rat Poison now in the player’s inventory, head past the Border Watch Inn and find the sheep’s pen, where the feeding trough sits in the center. Players can interact with the feeding trough to place the Rat Poison inside, which will cause the sheep to wander towards the feeding trough and eventually die after eating from it.

How to Start the Third Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered

With the rat plague and the sheep poisoned, it’s time to start the third and final prophecy. All players need to do for this third prophecy is head to the center of Border Watch and look up to the sky. Upon looking up at the sky, they will be locked into a cutscene where the sky begins to darken to an orange hue, and burning dogs will begin to fall from the sky. After it’s literally rained dogs on the settlement of Border Watch, players can head back to Sheogorath’s Shrine with a job well done.

How to Get the Wabbajack in Oblivion Remastered

Upon returning to Sheogorath’s Shrine, Sheogorath himself will celebrate the madness caused by the player, and will then reward them with the Daedra Artifact, the Wabbajack. The Wabbajack is now the player’s for as long as they decide not to sell it or get rid of it.

The Wabbajack is a powerful and hilarious Daedric Artifact, as it willtransform non-NPC entities into random creatures for 10 seconds. It’s a random staff that can be a lot of fun, but it’s not really good for damaging foes, as it’s more of an item for absurdity.
