The Wheel of Time Season 3: Two Rivers get ready for war

The penultimate episode, titled “Goldeneyes,” begins with the people of Two Rivers preparing for the upcoming war. They know that the Trollocs are coming, and need to be prepared for their attack. Thankfully, they have Perrin, Alanna, Maksim, Loial, Bain, Chiad, and Faile to lead them and teach them the art of fighting. Perrin is helping the young men to forge swords so that the people of the Two Rivers can fight the army of Trollocs. However, things intensify when one of the residents of the Two Rivers says that there’s an army coming. They close the gates, but when Perrin sees through the gate, he realizes that this was not an army. Actually, they were people from another place that Trollocs ravaged. He invited them inside and met a familiar face, Aram. Soon, Perrin gets to know that all these people are not just from one tribe or place, they hail from different places that have been destroyed by the evil Trollocs.

On the other hand, Maksim is teaching the men and women how to attack with their weapons, while Alanna is helping two young channelers with their power. However, being young, they want to know the flashy stuff first, like dropping lightning from the sky. During their conversation, Alanna realizes that a middle-aged woman has been watching her teaching these kids about channeling their powers, and realizes that this lady is also a channeler. But it seems that the woman is not interested in joining them. A few moments later, Perrin and Faile meet the leader of the White Cloaks and ask for help from them in their fight against the Trollocs. The Wheel of Time Season 3: Perrin is scared for his people, while Loial goes to destroy the waygate

Perrin and Faile talk to each other about the upcoming battle and discuss what could happen. Faile said that it’s okay to be scared of death because she is, and her father, too, was scared of battle and death. Perrin replies by saying that he isn’t scared of death, but of what comes before it. The faces he sees before they die, and the disappointment in their faces because he led them to their deaths. Faile replies by saying that it could have been worse for them if he hadn’t been there to fight for his people. Perrin reveals that he is fighting for his people, but why is Faile here? Why is she fighting for Two Rivers? Faile says that he likes lost causes and wanted to be here for the fight. When Perrin tells her to leave because he doesn’t want to see her die, Faile says that the only way she’ll leave from here is if he takes a weapon and kills her.

On the other hand, Perrin tells Mat’s sisters, who are young channelers, about what their brother did. That scene showed the true nature ofthe relationship sharedby siblings. While Perrin showed them the photo of Mat with the horn, how he used it, and saved many, his sisters started making fun of the photo and had a good laugh. But that moment is cut short when they realize that an army of Trollocs is coming from the mountainous area of the region. They all get together to decide what they should do and if they should change their strategies. They decide that they can hold the army, but things could get out of hand if they continue to come through the waygate. As a result, Loial says that he would have to close the waygate from the other side so that more Trollocs don’t reach the Two Rivers. Perrin wanted to go with him, but Loial stopped him and said people would panic if you left them. So, he’ll take Bain and Chiad with him. Perrin agrees and tells Loial to go back home after closing the gate so that he can tell the world about this fight and learn from their mistakes.

The Wheel of Time Season 3: [Spoiler’s] sacrifice helps Two Rivers win the battle

A few moments later, Perrin and the residents of Two Rivers get ready for the battle. Perrin sings a song with passion and motivates everyone for the battle. The time had come for the battle, and the army of Trollocs had reached the gates of the Two Rivers. The battle finally began with the archers of Two Rivers holding the fort with the help of Maksim and Perrin. But they knew that they needed Alanna’s help during the battle. Perrin tells Maksim to shoot an arrow into the sky so that Alanna could know that they needed some assistance. However, before he could do anything, Alanna linked with three other channelers (Mat’s sisters and the middle-aged woman she met earlier) to form a tornado-like situation in the sky. With their powers, they shoot big spears of ice at their enemies and get an upper hand in the battle. However, Faile was shocked to see the enemies falling back. But that was not it, Alanna was attacked from behind while they were returning to the village, and the battle continued.

Elsewhere, Loial, Bain, and Chiad kill the Trollocs and others who were guarding the waygate. Loial finally went inside the waygate to shut it from the other side. Meanwhile, the battle continued in Two Rivers as people tried to hold the enemies down. Soon, they heard a horn, and they thought that more enemies were coming. But it was the White Cloakswho made their entry into Two Rivers, wanting to help them. However, after seeing Padan, Perrin realizes that they are in grave danger and tells the leader of the White Cloaks that he was a Darkfriend. Padan shows his true nature and attacks the people of Two Rivers and the White Cloaks. The leader of the White Cloaks tells Perrin he didn’t know about Padan, and Perrin replies by saying that he should have. During the battle, Perrin believes that he might be the reason why so many people from the Two Rivers died. But Faile tells him to fight for his people and show them how he would save them. Perrin obliterates everything and everyone that comes in front of him, while Faile kills all the ones approaching him from behind. Additionally, Loial is trying to break the waygate, but he is not able to because of the magic.

The Wheel of Time

In the ending moments of the episode, Eamon Valda finds Alanna in pain and tells the two young channelers to step aside so that he can kill her. However, the young channelers protect her and kill Valda by setting him on fire. On the battlefield, Perrin finally got hold of Padan and was going to kill him. But something holds him, and he lets him go before telling him to draw back his army. Meanwhile, Loial was still trying to break the waygate, and when Loial thought that nothing was working, he broke the floor he was standing on and stopped the Trolloc army by sacrificing himself. The battle is won by the people of Two Rivers, and Perrin leaves with the White Cloaks for the light’s justice, while everyone calls him Lord Goldeneyes.
