Summary
Fire Forcehas releasedits third seasonand continues the story of Shinra and his mission to save the world from the Evangelist, who seek to set it ablaze and start it anew. Shinra, along with his Fire Force Company 8 allies, takes on powerful Infernals and Pyrokinetics to protect people’s everyday lives. Shinra has become enthralled in a sinister plot where powerful individuals seek to assemble a unique collection of Pyrokinetics calledPillars.
These Pillars seem to be the key to accomplishing the Evangelist’s goals, and Shinra and his friends must do everything in their power to stop them. The Pillars are Pyrokinetics that have an Adola Burst, which makes them more powerful than average Pyrotechnics. Among them, there are eight Pillars, and each one is more unique than the last. Here arethe strongest Pillars in Fire Force, ranked.
8Iris
The Fifth Pillar Of Destruction
Irisis a member ofFire Force Company 8. She acts as a nun who oversees the peaceful passing and moving on of Infernals that her squad and any others in her presence take down. She is a kind and lighthearted young girl who some would say wears her heart on her sleeve.
While initially, Iris showed no Pyrokinetic abilities, her awakening occurred after Dragon defeated a colossal Infernal, and she placed a powerful barrier around her friends. Considering Iris’s ability is primarily focused on defense, she is not particularly geared toward battle.
7Inca
The Eighth Pillar of Despair
Incawas one of the final Pillars to awaken inFire Force, and while living as an average high school girl, she was targeted by both the Fire Force companies and the Temple of Sol. Initially resisting both sides, Inca developed an addiction to the excitement of being caught in dangerous situations and joined the White Clad to experience more.
Inca’s ability allows her to see the pathways that flames can take, ignite these paths, and increase their power. Using this ability, she can make flames more powerful and control their direction, making her a great tool for the Evangelist.
6Nataku
The Sixth Pillar Of Fear
Natakuis the youngest of the eight Pillars to awaken, and obtained his powers after Rekka Hoshimiya forcibly caused him to be bitten by a firebug. Secretly, Nataku would be taken by Hajima Industries and poked and prodded until he crumbled under the immense pressure and went on a rampage across Tokyo during a conflict between the Evagelist and the Fire Force companies.
Nataku is the Pillar of Fear; his abilities allow him to manipulate and shape flames. His Adola Burst creates powerful fire sigils that can shoot off beams of radiation. His fire, being lethal in proximity and capable of destroying the entire city, makes him one of the most dangerous Pillars inFire Force.
5Sumire
The Seventh Pillar Of Disgust
Sumireis one of the oldest Pillars and has been a loyal servant to the Evangelist for over two hundred years. Sumire joined the Temple of Sol to aid them in their plan to torch humanity from the world and restart evolution. She has worked her entire life to assemble all the Pillars after losing sympathy for humankind.
Using her abilities, Sumire can generate powerful vibrations by shivering and then harness the heat they generate to create flames, then transforming them into kinetic energy. This can generate powerful shockwaves and earthquakes capable of affecting the entire city of Tokyo.
4Sho
The Third Pillar Of Apathy
Shois one of the Kusakabe brothers whose mother transformed into an Infernal being and nearly killed them. This was caused by Sho awakening his Adola Burst and his brother’s fire abilities at the same time. While he was declared dead along with his mother, Sho was actually abducted by the Evangelist and trained in secret.
He reappeared inFire Forceseason one and was revealed to be the Third Pillar of Apathy. Sho’s abilities are particularly potent, allowing him to lower the heat from universal expansion, which in turn enables him to slow down time. He can slow the world around him down to an extent and continue to move at normal speed.
3Haumea
The Second Pillar Of Passivity
Haumeais one of the main antagonists ofFire Force,a prominentmember of the White Clad, and the Second Pillar of Passivity. Haumea gives off an enigmatic aura as she seems to be very aware of the Evangelist’s goals, but also appears to have hidden motivations.
With a bright and bubbly personality, she shows that she is more than capable of taking care of herself and has immense strength and speed. Haumea’s abilities as the Second Pillar allow her to control electricity on multiple scales. While she can use her power to shock enemies and short-circuit electrical systems, she can also use it to control the electrical impulses in people’s bodies and read minds.
2Shinra
The Fourth Pillar Of Rage
Shinrais themain character ofFire Forceand the oldest of the Kusakabe brothers, as well as the only known survivor in his family at the start of the series. Shinra was orphaned as a child after his mother turned into an Infernal and burned their house down. He was saved by Captain Leonard Burns.
After being saved, Shinra strove to become a hero and joined the Fire Force as soon as he was able. Shinra is the Fourth Pillar of Rage and, as such, his powers are vast and immeasurable, but at the surface level, he can produce intense flames from his feet. He uses these flames in combat and to grant him the ability to fly. He has also been seen increasing his speed to surpass the speed of light, traveling through time and space.
1Amaterasu
The First Pillar Of Madness
Amaterasuserves as the supernatural force of the Adola Burst that appears in Shinra’s mind and often taunts him, attempting to manipulate him into doing what she wants. It is unknown what her motivations are orwhose side she really serves, but she is a sinister individual with ulterior motives that would spell disaster for the city and humanity.
Amaterasu’s true powers have also never been revealed, but she is able to converse with each Pillar using an Adola Link and manipulate their memories and emotions; she even took control of Shinra’s body on one occasion.
