After rumors swirled a couple of weeks ago of anewThe Last of UsSpecial Editionbeing poised for reveal, Sony Interactive Entertainment pulled the curtain back on Friday.The publisher officially announcedThe Last of Us Complete.
The Last of Us Completeaims to bring “the complete story that inspired the HBO show” to your PlayStation 5 console. It’s being released on July 10th (not too long after the Season 2 finale). However, for big-timeThe Last of Usfans, you’ll want to consider upgrading to the Collector’s Edition.The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition preordersjust recently went live exclusively through PlayStation Direct. Both games come included on discs and are housed in a steelbook case.Completealso includesThe Last of Us: Left Behind,which is prequel DLC that was released in 2014 after the initial game launched on PlayStation 3.The Last of Us: Left Behindwas used as the basis of Season 1 Episode 7 of the HBO series.
There’s more than just the game discs and DLC in the Collector’s Edition. The package also includesThe Last of Us: American Dreams. Developed in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics,American Dreamsis a four-part comicreleased in 2013 that explores the time period leading up toLeft Behind. Co-written byThe Last of Uscreative director Neil Druckmann,it explores Ellie’s relationship with Riley while also providing backstory to Ellie’s upbringing.
Naughty Dog has also craftedfour lithographic prints for the Collector’s Edition. The artwork is impressive, to say the least. The first features Joel and Ellie back to back, surrounded by some foliage. The second shows Ellie and Joel out on patrol atop a pair of horses.
The third, an inspired print of the duo in the wilderness within a subtle outline of the series' clicker monster. The fourth is an image fromThe Last of Us Part 2of Ellie and Abby as opposites with both surrounded by vegetation. you may check out the four-image collection below:

Naughty Dog confirms thatThe Last of Us Completeis the definitive package of both games combined.
