After the Sludge Villain terrorizes the populace and manages to capture Bakugo, All Might has second thoughts about helping because of the waning nature of his powers. However, Midoriya saw his friend in danger and didn’t have any second thoughts about saving him, serving as a wake-up call to All Might,who decided to step in and save the day. It’s this moment that cemented Midoriya’s place as One for All’s successor in the No. 1 Hero’s eyes.

Overhaulis one of the most diabolical villains inMy Hero Academia,and the way he was abusing a young child got on Midoriya and Mirio’s nerves. The latter had lost his powers but was still able to put up a fight, butit was Midoriya’s performance that took down Overhaul for good.
Eri’s Rewind Quirk let Midoriya to use 100% of One for All without sacrificing his body, allowing him to decimate Overhaul in one of the most satisfying beatdowns in the series. Overhaul was left completely incapacitated after this moment, with the League of Villains adding insult to injury when they took his Quirk away later on.

Gigantomachiais a behemoth who is deeply loyal to One for All, causing him to become the lynchpin during the Paranormal Liberation War. He was a force of destruction who tore through major cities in Japan after overpowering any heroes who tried to stop him.
The effects of his destructive romp were catastrophic, withcivilians losing all trust in the Pro Heroesas the series took on a dark tone. It would take a serious victory for the Hero Society to regain the trust of the people after this humiliation.

All for Onehas beenAll Might’srival since time eternal, and it seemed like he would win their final conflict. Unfortunately, he underestimated All Might’s grit and resilience, even whenthe powers of One for All were leaving him.
Despite being weakened, All Might didn’t stand down and used a well-disguised feint to catch One for All with a powerful United States of Smash. It’s one of the most emphatic punches in the series, and it humiliated One for All, who somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
