The newStadiumgameplay mode forOverwatch 2debuted in Season 16, giving players a fresh, fast-paced twist to enjoy. In this mode, players lock in heroes from a smaller roster, meaning that there is no counter-swapping. From there, they will play a series of smaller, mini-rounds to accumulate cash, which they use to develop builds for their hero by selecting Powers and purchasing Items that synergize with them.

However, there are several factors to consider whencreating anOverwatch 2Stadium build. You will only be able to pick between 2-4 Hero Powers, depending on the length of the match, and then up to six different Items from three different categories, across three different prices/rarities. With so many options to consider, it can be tricky to discover which items and powers work better together than others. If you’re looking toplay Soldier: 76 in Stadium, this guide outlines a pair of excellent DPS builds for him inOverwatch 2.

Overwatch Stadium: Best Soldier: 76 Builds, Explained

Soldier: 76has always been a great all-rounder/jack-of-all-trades character, thanks to his simple yet strong kit. With consistent primary fire damage, Helix Rockets perfect for finishing off targets, great ground movement with his Sprint, and the ability to self-heal himself or allies through Biotic Field, Soldier has quite a few key aspects to his kit.

When it comes to the best Stadium builds for this hero, two have emerged thus far—one revolving around buffing his Helix Rocket utility and damage, and the other by buffing and transforming his Biotic Field and movement to have him fly around the battlefield, causing mayhem. Both builds have been outlined below.

This build focuses on significantly buffingSoldier’sHelix Rockets and Pulse Rifle to deal huge damage and shred through most opposition heroes, minus the odd pick such as D.Va or Genji. Helix Rocket now opens with burst damage, granting Tac. Visor and stacking weapon power whilst this is active with Chaingun. When stacked with the right items, you can pretty much one-shot Helix and Visor combo any squishy opponent as long as you have good positioning and/or flanking, as it does such significant burst damage that the enemy often has very little time to react, specifically in a 1v1. With good aim and proper cooldown cycling, you can be a true menace by running through the backline and shredding squishies.

Items for this build should prioritize anything that buffs your ability damage, as this will impact your Helix Rockets, as well as items that either reduces your cooldowns—making the most of your Helix build—or improve your weapon speed—helping your Chaingun stack bonus power much quicker.

For the purpose of helping you find these items in-game, each one has been marked with an indicator.(WPN) - Weapon Category, (ABL) - Ability, (SURV) - Survival. Some Items have been mentioned in multiple stages, as depending on your preferences, the amount of currency you have available, or what is ongoing in the match, you may choose to make big impulsive buys early to create a steep improvement in the early-to-mid game, or take a more steady improvement approach for mid-late game.

Overwatch Stadium: Biotic Field Soldier: 76 Build

Biotic Field Soldier: 76 Build - Powers

Round 1: Back Off- Enemies within your Biotic Field take damage equal to 100% of its healing output.

Round 3:On Me! -Biotic Field moves with you and grants you 20% increased Max Life while active.

Round 5: Track and Field- During Sprint, Biotic Field cooldown refreshes 150% faster.

Round 7: Frontliners- Allies within your Biotic Field gain Overhealth equal to 30% of your max health for 3s.

This build revolves around placing huge buffs on your Biotic Field, increasing its max healing output through more frequent cooldown refreshes, introducing synergy with sprint, and enabling it to damage enemies whilehealing you and any nearby allies. Essentially, you will be running around the map like crazy to refresh your cooldown and planting your Biotic Field to win 1v1s or to supply surprisingly solid heals and Overhealth to allies. All around, it’s a very fun build that gives Soldier a frightening level of survivability thanks to his great movement.

Items for this build should consist of anything that focuses on reducing cooldowns and improving ability power, as this improves both the healing and damage output of your Biotic Field. Furthermore, some specialty Soldier items can further buff and improve the Biotic Field, making them the perfect addition to this build.
