The Beginning After the End(TBATE) was one of the most anticipated series for the Spring 2025 Anime Season, but fans are generally displeased with what they’ve seen when it comes to the quality of the animation. Nevertheless, many people still seem to be checking out what’s going on in the story.

WhileTBATEmight not be getting the treatment it deserves — and many think it deserves the “Solo Levelingtreatment” —, it seems that the fan base is showing that this is a title that can hit with proper investment. Where To Officially Watch TBATE?

The Beginning After The Endis officially streaming on Crunchyroll in several countries around the world — according to the service, they have the license to stream it in the Americas (North, Central and South), Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the CIS, the Indian subcontinent (South Asia) and Oceania.

The series is also streaming on Netflix in select Asian territories: Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong — Netflix Asia typically streams most seasonal anime in these regions. There may be other streaming services releasing the series in other countries.

When Will The Beginning After The End English Dub Be Out?

Crunchyroll has alreadyconfirmed thatTBATEwill get dubs in English and French. The service added the dub for the first episode today (April 16), so the dub schedule will apparently be two weeks behind the subbed version.

It is also likely that Crunchyroll will later add dubs in other languages as well, but not simultaneously to the subbed released as is the case with the English dub.

The English dub is directed by Jonathan Rigg.

There were many expectations for the anime when it was first announced, since the original novel and the webcomic adaptation werequite successful within the niche. However, many fans were concerned about the studio in charge of the animation, Studio A-Cat, and it seems they were right.

This studio mostly works with 3DCG animation, so a good portion of the series is being outsourced to other studios (apparently, mostly Chinese studios) to animate the 2D parts of the series (which is most of it).

As shown above, fans are generally upsetby the lack of movement in action scenes, but the seriesseems to be trending somehow(maybe precisely because of its bad animation for now). However, even though there is a considerable fan base, it may be hard for the series to get a second season now.
