Ahead ofMarshmallow’s theatrical release, Hemlock Circle Productions shared a new excerpt from the upcoming movie, which Game Rant can exclusively reveal. The 44-second clip shows a brief confrontation between one of the film’s side characters and Morgan, an introverted 12-year-old played by Kue Lawrence. Lawrence is known for his role as John “Jody” DeFeo in the 2018 filmThe Amityville Murders, as well as for voicing young Dante inNetflix’sDevil May Cryseries.

Marshmallow Is a Film About a Scary Campfire Tale That Comes to Life
The movie itself promises to tell an intensehorror story set at a secluded summer camp, where Morgan is forced to face a “living nightmare” after a scary campfire tale comes to life. Over the course of the film, Morgan will team up with some newfound friends as they attempt to survive encounters with a mysterious figure that begins stalking their camp. The kids will eventually embark on a journey where they’ll face their deepest fears and even confront some existential questions, according toMarshmallow’s official synopsis.

Marshmallow Coming to Theaters This Week
The summer horror movie was shot on location at Camp Ksyoc Kentucky Park in June 2023.Marshmalloworiginally premiered at the 2025 edition of Panic Fest, a horror thriller sci-fi festival that ran between late March and early April. Its limited stateside theatrical release is scheduled for this Friday, April 11. The film has a runtime of 93 minutes. While it also seems to have all the makings of a PG-13 movie,Marshmallow’s content rating has yet to be confirmed.
