Afterfast-traveling to Skoffa Cave, you will find Elamein right in front of you, and she will tell you to go ahead. Proceed into the cave and interact with theCollapsed Mine(Blade Nexus). To the right, you can find anarrow tunnel inside the cave that leads to explosives, which you can interact with. These explosives are important andmake the boss fight of this level easier, so make sure to interact with them. After that, go back to the Blade Nexus and climb the ladder up ahead.
Be wary of bats, andgo around the beam to droponto the spiders on the ramp. Proceed to the other side and walk along the beam going up, being wary of the second group of bats, who will try to make you fall. Deal with another group of spiders and go further up the beam to encounter more bats. Now, to your left is theNetherworld Energy upgradethat you must pick up to increase your healing consumables, then proceed to the right path, which will lead you to the lift that goes down to the Blade Nexus.

Once you have activated the lift, go back up and deal with the spiders in the sacs. Up ahead, you will have your first encounter with aRed-Eye Boulder Bat. If you are able to spot it from a distance hanging upside down, you’re able to throw a Javelin at itand run towards it to deal significant damage before it gets up. Go on ahead and find aCrypt Devourerposing as an item that you can pick up. You can throw a Javelin at the ground and deal damage to it before it even gets up. Before proceeding to the main path,on your left, you will spot a waterfall in front of you, and here you can find the first SoulstoneinStrange Stench.
Now go back to the main path and be ready to face multiple Plague-infesting enemies. Once you reach the open area, you will encounter a whole bunch of enemies that you must deal with. You can run away here, butit is recommended to finish them off as there is a collectible here. Follow the main path again to reach another room filled withFrenziedandPlague Husks. Go along the right path, dealing with any enemy that you come across, until youreach the ladder. This does not lead to the main path, but you shouldgo up the ladder to block off the second tunnel, which makes the boss fight easier. Go down the ladder and head straight, breaking the wooden barricades in your way and encountering a poison-spitting spider. Head further down, leaning right, andsoon you will reach the backside of the locked door that you can now open, opening a shortcut to the Blade Nexus. Rest at the Blade Nexus if you want, and head to the right of the gate to encounter a rolling spider.
Here you will find two paths. The path on the left is the main path, whilethe path on the right leads to an Elite Enemyand a chest you can loot. Going along the main path, you will encounter Chaos enemies. Deal with them and go down the right path. At the end of the path, you will be able tointeract with the Poisoned Depths(Blade Nexus).

When you reach a small patch of land where the giant spider spawns from, you can look to the left to spot a ramp where an Elite Enemy is waiting for you.It is advisable to deal with the spiders around the area beforehandso that you do not drag them into the fight with the Elite Enemy.
To the left of the ramp, you can find a chest, and to the right is the main path. Going along the main path, you will start hearing the melody that the Bard is playing, indicating that he is nearby. You can drop down to his location and buy Plague and Poison Cleanse Potionsandthe Primeval Regression Orb thatallows you to Respec your stats. Soulstone #3 in Strange Stench

Head back to the Blade Nexus, butturn to the right just before it to find another tunnel that you can destroy. From the Blade Nexus, head straight to the boss door, which starts the fight withAratra.
Tips For Beating Aratra In The First Berserker: Khazan
Aratra is a bossthat deals a lot of damage with its Fang Attacks and can also inflict theVenom status effect, so having Poison Cleanse Potions on you at all times is a must. If you have destroyed the multiple tunnels, this prevents small spiders from ambushing you during the fight, making it a one-on-one encounter throughout.
Your main focus during the boss fight should be to lock on to theboss’s front legs, which can be broken. Once broken, the boss takes a lot of damage, staggers, and lies down for a couple of seconds, allowing you to land multiple hits. Breaking its legs also prevents it from performing any more Fang Attacks. You can also break the boss’s abdomen, which stops it from using poison attacks.
After losing a large chunk of health, the boss will retreat to its cave by climbing the wall, andthis is a good opportunity to aim your Javelin and throw it at the boss’s body, making it fall and take a large amount of damage. Once the boss goes inside the cave, it will regenerate any broken parts and perform a leaping attack.
