Stephen King Praised The Life Of Chuck Movie As The Trailer Is Released

A teaser trailer was shared in March 2025, and after watching both the teaser and the official trailer, it’s clear thatthe upcoming adaptation will be as movingas King’s stories andMike Flanagan’s TV shows likeThe Haunting of Hill House. The official trailer forThe Life of Chuckshowsa young Chuck staring at the skyand shows him walking through a hallway, mourning a loved one at a funeral outside in a cemetery, and talking to an older man who encourages him to stay positive and remember that he “has heart.” Then, an older Chuck dances in a town square, and the words “Thanks Chuck” appear in the sky. The trailer also shows glimpses of the movie’s other characters. However, details aren’t given about them, so fans will have to wait until they see the film to learn more about the other people who populate Chuck’s world.
Flanagan wrote and directedThe Life of Chuck,whichfollowsCharles “Chuck” Krantz (Tom Hiddleston) through three parts of his life.However, the movie does something different, which sets it apart fromother adaptations of King’s work, whether a horror story or a more realistic yet still sometimes scary one. Instead of showing Chuck as he gets older,Act 3 shows the character at the end of his life, Act 2 focuses on the middle of his life, and Act 3 features his childhood.
