Summary
AStardew Valleyplayer has shared an idea for changing how crafting a sprinkler works, saving ingredients and repurposing the farmer’s existing sprinklers. The concept could be potentially useful forStardew Valleyfarmers who prefer to expend as few resources as possible.
Stardew Valleyhas expanded its crafting and gathering functions over the years, adding new recipes and ways of making them. For example, players now have the ability to craft aGeode Crusherthat cancrack open geodes, which originally could only be opened by visitingClint. Players often share ideas for further improvements, and one fan has offered up an idea for sprinklers that the community seems intrigued by.
Reddit user OmegahShot shared their idea for using existing sprinklers when creating the next-highest quality, rather than having to craft a brand-new set from scratch. Their idea would utilize the materials that went into the existing sprinkler. For example, they point out how, ordinarily, in order to craft a standard Sprinkler followed by a Quality Sprinkler, players would first need 1 Copper Bar and 1 Iron Bar for the standard Sprinkler, and then 1 Iron Bar, 1 Gold Bar, and 1 Refined Quartz for the Quality Sprinkler. With their idea, players would be able to utilize their existing Sprinkler directly for the ingredients that went into making it, socrafting a Quality Sprinklerwould use the basic Sprinkler in place of the Quality Sprinkler recipe’s Iron Bar. Further, crafting an Iridium Sprinkler could use the Quality Sprinkler in place of a Gold Bar.
Stardew Valley Fans Consider Sprinkler Change
ManyStardew Valleyfans in the comments have liked the idea of adding this as a crafting option to the game. Some have pointed out that some other object crafts in the game already utilize lower-tier versions, liketurning a Furnace into a Heavy Furnace. One noted that if a player has access to aDeconstructor, they can also save an ingredient, though it does take some extra steps and time. If a player inserts a Sprinkler into the Deconstructor, it should produce an Iron Bar. This same Iron Bar could then be used to craft a brand-new Quality Sprinkler. However, the Deconstructor takes an hour for each use, so it could take a while to convert all the Sprinklers on one’s farm.
Stardew Valleymight finally be on the backburner now, with the developer’s focus shifting toHaunted Chocolatier. However, he’s also said that he can imagineupdatingStardew Valleyfor decades, so players may end up with another content update someday. While not every fan suggestion makes it into the game, some players would be happy to see this feature in the official title.
