Summary
Solo Levelingis one of the highest-rated anime series of all time. It has earned the love and admiration of fans due to its high-octane action and interesting story. There is no denying that Solo Leveling is an excellent series, but there are certain gaps that have not been filled by the author.
Due to this reason, fans often talk about these gaps and attempt to resolve them in debates. However, some things can’t just be solved if there aren’t enough clues. One such mystery that hasn’t been resolved isrelated to the identity of the fifth National Level Hunter.
Who Is The Fifth National Level Hunter?
The Identity Of This Characters Remains Unknown
The title of National Level Hunters is bestowed upon the Hunterswho fought the mighty Kamishand brought an end to its reign of terror. Kamish was a massive dragon who served as the boss of the first-ever S-rank gate that opened in America. He was ruthless and only cared about demolishing people who stood in his way. Plenty of Hunters tried fighting the beast, but most of them ended up going to the afterlife. Only five Hunters were strong enough to beat him. Out of the five, the identities of four Hunters have been revealed. These were:
The fifth Hunter remains nameless, and he never even appeared in the series. However, the author has revealed a few details about the Hunter. For starters, it has been confirmed that he does not have any powers granted by the Rulers. This means that the unnamed character was abnormally strong, and his level would have gone way up had he received help from the Rulers. It has also been confirmed that the person was a healer. So, he was likely responsible for backing up the others. It is also possible that the individual had excellent physical abilities; otherwise, he would not have managed to withstand the battle against Kamish.
While the character has not been revealed in the web novel, there is a chance that the anime might include him in the upcoming season. Many anime series are known for adding new details, especially after talking to the creator of the source material. Depending on the number of episodes in the third season, fans might get to see the character in a couple of years from now.
Was Sung Jinwoo A National Level Hunter In Season 2?
Despite his achievements inseason 2, Sung Jinwoo wasn’t on the same level as a National Level Hunter. However, he did surpass the level of normal S-rank Hunters. Sung Jinwoo gained multiple Shadows that helped him throughout the second season. The Shadows that he gained are as follows:
Out of the five, Beru was the strongest. Sung Jinwoo had to beat the Ant King on Jeju Island and then use Arise on him. After awakening, Beru pledged fealty to Jinwoo and called him ‘King.’ The other Shadows that Jinwoo obtained weren’t bad, but they couldn’t compete with Beru.
Inseason 2, fans saw a Liu Zhigang in action. The National Level Hunter used his blade to destroy ants that were heading to China. The attack was so potent that the ants fell like flies. This short glimpse was enough to prove that Sung Jinwoo needed to level up more before he could take on a National Level Hunter.
I will protect my family even if it means turning all the Hunters in the world against me. —Sung Jinwoo
Another interesting development in season 2 was the appearance of two Monarchs— Rakan and Sillad. Their appearance spells trouble, and if Sung Jinwoo doesn’t improve quickly, he could find himself in dire straits. Thehero has received the key to the Cartenon Temple, which is inside the Double Dungeon. Jinwoo will have to travel to the temple if he wants to learn more about his powers and why he was chosen by the System. Hopefully, this incident is covered in the third season of the anime.
