Developer TVGS has created an unexpected smash hit with its new crime simulation title, quickly becoming one of the most-played games on Steam.Schedule 1may have won over the hearts of players, achieving an “overwhelmingly positive” review score on Steam, but it hasn’t been without issue. Shortly after the game’s early access launch,Drug Deal Simulatorpublisher Movie Games S.A. revealed that it wasinvestigatingSchedule 1for potential copyright infringementas the company believes TVGS may have used elements fromDrug Deal Simulator, such as plot, mechanics, and user interface. Schedule 1 Developer Working on Steam Deck Verification
On April 10, TVGS launched abrand-new update forSchedule 1. The latest patch included plenty of new content for the hit indie game, including new decorations, the ability to sell items at the Pawn Shop, and much more. Toward the end of the v0.3.4 patch notes, the developer revealed that he was working on improving the game’s optimization and confirmed that he would “like to get Steam Deck officially supported.” While it’s unclear how long this may take, the developer said that they would likeSchedule 1to be Steam Deck verified as soon as possible. Currently, the game is marked as “playable” on Valve’s handheld device, but there are numerous text and controller-related issues preventing it from being verified.
AlthoughSchedule 1isn’t currently one of the manyindie games with Steam Deck verification, many players do still play the title on the device with outstanding performance. AsSchedule 1is not a very graphically intensive title, the lower specs of the Steam Deck appear to run it anywhere between 40 and 60 frames per second with the correct settings. However, asSchedule 1does not have official controller support, players are currently having to customize the controller layout via Steam Deck’s built-in configuration settings. While TVGS has revealed it plans to improveSchedule 1’s optimization, which will hopefully improve Steam Deck performance, it’s unclear if official controller support will also be added in a future update.
Despite being created by a single developer,Schedule 1has been a massive hit on Steamsince its early access launch on March 24.
