Marvel’s recent big entry in the Captain America franchise went up on streaming earlier this month, and to add to that hype, they threw in a lil' something sweet for us collectors.Captain America: Brave New Worldis officially up for pre-order in a limited edition 4K UHD SteelBook format, now listed on Amazon for $44.99. And yes, this is the version with all the bells and whistles, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, digital code, and a collector’s SteelBook case with exclusive art.
If you’re someone who still values physical media (or just likes owning a slick version of the movie you already watched twice in theaters), this is one of the better Marvel home video releases we’ve seen in a while. Let’s take a quick look at what you’re getting with this package, and why it might be worth locking in your order before release day.
The Basics: What’s in the Box
This is a three-part package:
The 4K disc supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, while audio includes Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio tracks in English. You also get English SDH, Spanish, and French subtitles on both discs. The 4K disc is region-free, and the Blu-ray is Region A. That makes this edition fully playable in North America without any compatibility issues.

It’s not quiteInfinity War-level comprehensive (I doubtanythingwill bethatcomprehensive for a while), but it’s…more than what we’ve come to expect from recent Phase 5 physical releases.Captain America: Brave New Worldmay not be the most over-the-top Marvel entry, but it’s an important one.
Sam Wilson’s transition into the role brings the franchise into a new chapter, and this release feels like it’s giving the movie the respect it deserves. Also, we got to watchHarrison Ford fully hulk outand whoop Cap’s butt for funsies, for like ten glorious minutes. No point in not preserving that piece of history.
Like I said, if you’re somebody who loves owning what you watch, and you want something a little nicer than a plastic case with a studio slipcover, this SteelBook is an easy pickup.
