From May 14 to May 18, players can experience the Crown Clash: Taken Over event, wherePokemon GOplayers will face Giovanniagain. During the event, Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokeStops and in balloons to challenge trainers, while players will be able to use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration. Niantic has noted that Pokemon caught via one-star and three-star Shadow Raids will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP.

Additionally, while chasing down Giovanni, players can get the Super Rocket Radar by completing a Special Research that can be claimed until the end ofPokemon GO: Might and Masteryon June 3. Players will encounter Shadow Pokemon, including Shadow Slakoth, Shadow Inkay, Shadow Tyrunt, and Shadow Amaura, used by Team GO Rocket, and must defeat their leaders to save them. Moreover, players can find more Shadow Pokemon in one-star Raids and three-star Raids, and some lucky players may even encounter a Shiny one.

Starting with the Crown Clash: Taken Over event, Larvitar and Pawniard will be available inPokemon GO’s 10km Eggs.
