Summary
APokemonfan has recently devised a new Ghost-type evolution for Eevee, coming up with a surprisingly delightful variant. By using an Egypt-themed design, this new Eeveelution shows how talented thePokemoncommunity is when devising new forms of popular creatures of the franchise.
Originally introduced in the first generation ofPokemongames, Eevee is easily one of the most popular creatures to appear in the franchise. Not only does the Normal-type critter look adorable, but it has received eight evolutions over the years, standing apart from other Pokemon. Unfortunately, Eevee has not gained any new Eeveelution in recent years, with its newest one being the Fairy-type Sylveon, which was introduced in Gen 6 in 2013, marking a whole decade without new evolutions for the popular monster.
Now, aPokemonfan called Patient-Ambition9826 has shared their latest creation with the community, an Egypt-themed, Ghost-type Eeveelution. Called Anubeon, this unofficial Pokemon looks like a small cat-like animal with an Anubis head, glowing yellow eyes, dark blue skin, and a tail shaped like an ankh. The fan art also came with a shiny form, in which the creature’s head became dark blue, and its skin turned grey. According to Patient-Ambition9826, they also intend to create a Ground-type Eeveelution in the near future, which will also use Egypt as a reference.
Pokemon Fan’s Amazing Ghost-Type Eeveelution
Eeveelutions are incredibly popular in fan art, and Ghost-type evolutions have been very prominent in the last few years. For instance, earlier this month, anotherfan created a genie-inspired Ghost-type Eeveelution. In this fan art, the gamer created Mischeveon, which looks like a purple feline wearing a genie’s clothes.
Most Ghost-type Eeveelutions, however, are inspired by actual ghosts. Some time ago, a fan created aGhost-type Eeveelution called Halluceon. This fan art depicted the critter as a pale, skinny, cat-like monster with a skull helmet, very long ears, and a purple sphere instead of a neck.
Yet another fan artist came up with an inventive critter called Ghouleon a few years ago. Thisadorable Ghost-type evolution for Eeveealso adopted the shape of a cat, and had white, grey, and blue fur. With a ghostly tail made out of smoke, deep blue eyes, and long whiskers, this design was adored by the community at the time. Hopefully, Nintendo will eventually create an official Ghost-type Eeveelution, as fans will certainly have a fun time comparing these fan-made designs with one invented by the actual developers of the games.
