After meeting the Blades with Brother Martin inOblivion Remastered, players have now been tasked with helping the plot against the Mythic Dawn further by figuring out just how to infiltrate them. To begin, players will need to head to the Imperial City to start The Path of Dawn, a quest with some rather puzzling elements that players might need help with.
Below, are specific instructions and steps for how to complete The Path of Dawn inOblivion Remastered, along with how to acquire each of the Mythic Dawn books and solve the Mythic Dawn book puzzle that is contained within.
How to Acquire the Mythic Dawn Book 1 in Oblivion Remastered
To begin the quest, players will want to head into Luther Broad’s Boarding House, found in the Imperial City’s Elven Gardens District. Once inside, sit at the bar next to Baurus, where he will speak to the player with discretion. Baurus instructs players to let him stand up and to follow the mysterious man, Astav Wirich, who will follow him. This will lead players into the cellar of the Boarding House, where Astav Wirich will become hostile and reveal himself as a Mythic Dawn agent, so must be killed. Once eliminated, players will need to loot the Mythic Dawn agent for theMythic Dawn Commentaries 1book. With the book in your inventory, speak to Baurus, who instructs players to speak to Tar-Meena at theArcane University.
How to Acquire the Mythic Dawn Book 2 in Oblivion Remastered
Once players have their instructions, it’s time to head to the Arcane University. Players can find the Arcane University in the southeast area of the Imperial City, and once inside, Tar-Meena will be sitting in the central lobby. Upon interacting with her, ask about the Mythic Dawn, and tell her that you have found one of their books. This dialogue chain will conclude with Tar-Meena giving players theMythic Dawn Commentaries 2, leaving them with just 2 more Mythic Dawn books to obtain. From here, Tar-Meena tells players to head to the First Edition Bookstore in the Imperial City’s Market District.
How to Acquire the Mythic Dawn Book 3 in Oblivion Remastered
Upon visiting First Edition, players can interact with the store owner, Phintias, who lets players know that he does have the Mythic Dawn Book 3, but he’s not going to give it up as it’s already been sold to a man named Gwinas. How to Acquire the Mythic Dawn Book 4 in Oblivion Remastered
To obtain the Mythic Dawn Book 4, players must kill Raven Camoran and loot it from his body. It’s also important to loot the Sunken Sewers Key to leave through locked doors. Once this book has been acquired, players have all 4 Mythic Dawn Books, and they can now leave the sewers. It’s easier to go out the way you came, as other pathways take longer and can be confusing.
How to Solve the Mythic Dawn Book Puzzle in Oblivion Remastered
Now that players have all four books, they will want to solve the puzzle that they contain. While players can venture back to the Arcane University and give the books to Tar-Meena for hints each in-game day, it’s easier to solve the puzzle right here. To solve the Mythic Dawn Book puzzle, enter your inventory and read the volumes in their numbered order, andpay attention to the first letter of every paragraph of each page, which is highlighted as a large letter. Reading through the first letter in each paragraph across all four books will spell the following text chain:
With the Mythic Dawn Puzzle code cracked, players will now want to head to the Imperial City, Green Emperor Way, which is thelocation of the Imperial Palace.Once at the towering Imperial Palace, players will want to head to the west side, where they can find a round grave, which is known as theTomb of Prince Camarril. Face the Tomb of Prince Camarril and wait until the time reachesmidday (12 PM). Doing so will reveal a red symbol etched into the stone wall, where players can now interact with it to conclude The Path of Dawn quest and start the next quest, the Dagon Shrine, where the next objective to head to is at Lake Arrius Caverns, a location just north of Cheydinhal.
Players can return to Cloud Ruler Temple to talk to Baurus, where they will receive a free increase for Blade, Block, and Heavy Armor skills.
