Overwatch 2crossed over withOne-Punch Manin 2023 and released skins based on the anime that follow the adventures of Saitama, the strongest man in the world. In 2024,Cowboy Bebopskins were added to the game, bringing cosmetics based on the acclaimed 90s anime that follows a group of space bounty hunters. In the same year,My Hero Academiaskins debuted inOverwatch 2, with players getting looks based on the popular shonen anime that follows Deku and his friends in their fight against villains. The fourth collaboration with an anime is on the way, and a new leak has revealed what to expect from it.
On Reddit,user -Elixo- shared imagesof theGundam Wingskins thatOverwatch 2will release. Mercy had her skin confirmed, but it has now been revealed that it will be based on XXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, while Soldier: 76 will be OZ-00MS Tallgeese. Reaper will get a skin based on the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe, and Ramattra’s skin will be based on the OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon. Although not officially announced, the skins confirm anOverwatch 2leakshared previously that pointed to the quartet as the heroes to get the new cosmetics.
Overwatch 2 Leak Reveals Gundam Wing Skins
Mobile Suit Gundam Wingis a single-season anime with 49 episodes originally released in 1995. The first anime in theGundamseriesto be shown on American television, it is the successor toMobile Fighter G Gundam. Its story shows the plans of five scientists to take revenge for the oppression suffered by the OZ organization, in an operation that involves recruiting five young boys to pilot extremely advanced Mobile Suits. Among the main mechas in the anime is Wing Zero, piloted by Heero Yuy, while Deathscythe’s pilot is Duo Maxwell. Tallgeese’s primary pilot is Zechs Merquise, who would later command the Epyon, originally piloted by Yuy.
The collaboration betweenOverwatch 2andGundam Wingarrives on April 29. The prices of the skins, whether there will be bundles, or whether other items such as emotes and sprays will be released are currently unknown. While Blizzard hasn’t shared any more details, players can get other skins, such as the Dokiwatch,Overwatch 2’s new skin seriesthat turns Widowmaker, Kiriko, D.Va, and other heroes into magical girls.
