In addition to new titles such asMario Kart WorldandDonkey Kong Bananza, the Nintendo Switch 2 will also feature updated editions of multiple popular games initially released for the original Switch. This includesThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildandThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the two hallmark open world games in theLegend of Zeldaseries. Both games will feature updated high-quality graphics and a new function called “Zelda Notes,” which will allow players to store and share information via the official Nintendo Switch app. This is particularly valuable forTears of the Kingdomplayers, who can save and share their Auto-Build designs with other users.
Tears Of The Kingdom Players Can Share Their Favorite Builds On The Switch 2
One of the major changesThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdommade compared to its predecessor,Breath of the Wild, was the inclusion of the Ultrahand and Fuse abilities. Ultrahand lets Link remotely pick up and manipulate objects, while Fuse lets players combine items to make everything from a flaming sword to a fully functional flying machine. Unlocked later in the game by visiting the Central Mine hidden within the Depths, theAutobuild abilitylets players save and recreate their favorite designs as well as popular default builds so they can quickly rebuild them after the initial parts have worn out.
In the years sinceTotK’s release, players have used Ultrahand and Fuse for a variety of functions - in particular, transport. The world of Hyrule is a vast one, and crossing it on foot - or even on horseback - is often not sufficient. Players have crafted a staggering range of cars, motorcycles, flying scooters, airplane-like contraptions, jetpacks, and more usingZonai fans, wheels, gliders and other partsscattered throughout the world, combined with natural resources such as bomb flowers. Now, with the addition of the Zelda Notes function, players can share these designs with one another by generating a QR code and sending it to a friend.
Zelda Notes Has Many Functions, Including Autobuild Sharing
The Zelda Notes function will be added to the Nintendo Switch app sometime later in 2025. Using the app does not require aNintendo Switch Online membership, but does require a Nintendo account and a smart device capable of downloading and running the app. In addition to Zelda Notes, it features announcements about upcoming Nintendo games and more information about the Switch 2 and its available games.
Zelda Notes has a Map function that can help players locate hiddenKoroks, shrines, and more, daily bonuses, personal and global play data, a Photo Studio for editing in-game photos and the ability to access Voice Memories. In addition, the “Item Share” and “Autobuild Share” functions - the latter exclusive toTears of the Kingdom -allows for the generation of QR codes for sharing with friends and the scanning of those codes into the game.
Autobuild Share is definitely a function thatTears of the Kingdomplayers should take note of. It allows them to show off their favorite creations while also taking inspiration from - or directly borrowing - the creations of others. Newer players could use the system to download common, useful Autobuilds like the powerful Lynel horn-enhanced sword or the ever-popularair bike, while more advanced players could compete to see who can make the most complex creation and then show the results off to one another. The function will encourageTears of the Kingdomplayers to further experiment and explore, and then share the results of their creativity both with friends and online.
