However, its leader, Nefeltari D. Lily, abandoned the cause and refused to move to Marijoa, even helping Joyboy in the end by releasing the Poneglyphs into the world.

In the current era, it seems that much of the history of the world is repeating, with Luffy and Vivi now being inextricably linked, similar to how Joyboy and Lily were. Shirahoshi is the princess of Fishman Island and, similarly to Vivi, is directly connected to a being from ancient times who had a very important allegiance to Joyboy. From this, it can be seen that there seems to be a repeat of roles and characters from the Void Century, with Joyboy being linked to Luffy, Lily to Vivi, and now,Shirahoshi to the original Poseidon. Thematically, the Fishmen are some of the most oppressed people in the world, so they will be one of the biggest helps in the Final War against their oppressors.
It feels like I have known you since I was a kid although we just met for the first time!
Moreover, Shirahoshi is not only this important due to being their leader, but mostly because she is one of the 3 Ancient Weapons. Since she is the modern-day manifestation of Poseidon, she can control the Sea Kings to do her bidding as their promised sovereign, which undoubtedly makes her one of the Straw Hat’s most powerful and important allies in the Final War.

Just like Fishman Island and Alabasta, Wano is one of the oldest and most important lands in the entire world ofOne Piece. Ever since the Void Century ended,Wano has remained one of the few nationsunaffiliated with the World Government, mainly due to their nigh-impenetrable borders that have kept most of the world out of their reach. Wano is now ruled by Kozuki Momonosuke, who has become the latest leader from the legendary Kozuki line, who were possibly Joyboy’s greatest allies during the Void Century.
This is the birth of the man who would later be known around the world as the greatest Shogun of Wano, Kozuki Momonosuke!
Not only were they the ones to create the Poneglyphs, but they fortified Wano greatly. The end of the Wano arc confirms that Momonosuke will eventually go on to become the greatest ruler that the land has ever had, ensuring that Wano will play a pivotal role in the Final War, perhaps even by using Pluton, which is confirmed to be under the island in the first place. Because of this, some fans believe that Momonosuke and the forces of Wano may make their debut in the Final War with Pluton.

Similarly, Elbaf has also remained unconquered by the World Government since the Void Century. However, unlike Wano, where the borders of the country protected it from being taken over, theWorld Government has stayed away from Elbafdue to the sheer strength of the Giants, since they are the most powerful race in theOne Pieceworld and are feared by everyone else due to their strength. Although the Elbaf arc is still airing at the time of writing, the Giants are likely going to be the Straw Hat’s strongest allies.
