One Piece Has Entered Its Final Saga
Long ago, Oda had already told the fans that after the end of Wano, the ending of One Piece would be in sight. In the Wano arc, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates took what can be described as their biggest step as pirates as they faced off against and defeated the members of the Beast Pirates. Luffy was the one who took on Kaido in battle, and at the end of things, it was Kaido who lost, while Luffy was declared the winner. Having unlocked Gear 5 and gained a mystery of his Haki not so long ago, Luffy was not an elite pirate and it wasn’t a shock to know that the he works claim the position of one ofthe new Yonko of the Sea.

As the story progressed fans explored a new saga, which Oda calls the Final Saga. Time and again, Oda has reiterated that the final saga is where the most important characters will gather and that this is the part of the story that he is itching to draw the most.With that Egghead arc,One Piecefinally began its last Saga, and as a result, fans saw Oda take fresh steps to amp up the intensity of the arc. Egghead was a massive success, but it was nothing compared to what Elbaf is proving to be right now, and as One Piece goes deeper into the Final Saga, fans will definitely get to see bigger reveals. In fact, according to Oda, he’s already set up the events of the last One Piece chapter as well, which may be very exciting for some readers.

The Draft For the Final Chapter Has Been in Oda’s Mind For Years

Oda: I’ve always pictured what the final chapter of ‘ONE PIECE’ would be like, though from time to time, the situation surrounding it changes. It will still be over whenever the One Piece is found in the series, haha. Anyway, this next arc is the final one. — Eiichiro Oda
Based on Oda’s own words, he’s had the endings of One Piece planned for many years now. The only things that he changes are small tweaks here and there. Oda still believes that One Piece will end after Luffy finds the grand treasure and the biggest questions of the world will finally be answered, but that isn’t anywhere close at the moment.

One Piece Won’t End Before 2030
All the talk about the final chapter ofOne Piecemight lead one to wonder whenOne Piecewill end. The truth is that One Piece is showing no signs of ending right now.Even though the Final Saga is already underway, fans are only in the second arc of the Saga. This saga itself is likely going to last for a year or two more, and with that, fans need to keep in mind thatOne Piece’send is far away. Given that so many events are brewing and so many characters are making their move, along with the fact that Oda loves to elaborate, things won’t end anytime soon. No One Piece fans should expect the series to end before 2030.
One Piece chapter 1146 will be out very soon, later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on the upcoming Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
