Loki is a captivating character properly introduced duringOne Piece’sElbaf arc, the current ongoing arc of the story.

He had been hinted at earlier, since Whole Cake Island, but fans only got a proper look at him late last year. His color scheme was a huge conversation recently in the fandom, and Oda seems to have modified it in a recent cover.

Loki’s Color Scheme Has Been Changed

The Elbaf arc has been a sensation, and it has technically barely started to get intense, with the Holy Knights starting to go into action. This Elbaf arc has introduced a bunch of interesting characters, even the Holy Knights aside. One of these characters is, undoubtedly,Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf. For the majority of Elbaf, Loki was chained, but recently in the manga, he was freed and ended up showing a small glimpse of his powers.

All that aside, Loki has been quite an interesting character so far, but one thing about him that caused some controversy in the fandom was his color scheme.Loki’s color scheme was revealed with the drop of the volume cover of One Piece 111, where fans finally got to see him colored by Oda. Many fans expected his hair would be blond, or perhaps red, and while Oda considered these for a bit, his final color scheme ended up being pink for his hair, and purple for his cape.

Unsurprisingly, many fans weren’t happy, as that is a less conventional color, but this isn’t anything new forOne Piece, as seen with Koby or Who’s Who for example, who also have pink hair.

However recently, Oda drew a cover for the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and in it, Loki’s color scheme seems to have changed. Instead of pink hair, Loki’s hair is now dark purple.

This is definitely a major change from the color scheme on the volume cover.

Is Loki’s Hair Now Officially Purple?

The Change Isn’t Necessarily Accurate

As previously mentioned, Oda picked a different color for Loki’s hair on the cover of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, but it doesn’t necessarily meanthat Loki’s hair is now officially purple.

The volume cover coloring still outweighs a random cover for the magazine, so unless the volume cover is modified, it’s unlikely Loki’s color scheme will be changed, and the anime will probably also follow the volume cover colors. So for now, fans should take this cover with a grain of salt, but Oda could also definitely change his mind later on.

The Elbaf arc is a very exciting story arc currently ongoing inOne Piece. The series releases almost every week on Sunday, unless Oda is taking a break, which is once every 3 weeks.
