Oda has already shown fans some absolutely massive events in the story, such as the Egghead Incident, and now, with Elbaf, things continue to heat up as the Holy Knights have finally made their appearance. While the Straw Hats journey Elbaf, however, Oda has set up a massive war in the New World and it’s definitely going to turn the world upside down.
The Blackbeard Pirates' Plan To Exchange Garp
One Piece’sEgghead arc marked the beginning of what can be considered the most eventful arc in the entire story. In fact, Oda himself was the most excited to draw this arc, and fans know that through this arc, Oda set up countless things that are to come in the future. From the sinking of the world to the war against the World Government, Oda set up everything that will eventually unfold here. However, one thing that fans might not be paying attention to is the deal between Blackbeard and the Navy.

As was started by Teach previously, he intended to offer Koby to the World Government as a trading chip. In return, he wanted the Pirate Island to be recognized as a nation in theOne Pieceworld, making him its King and the country would even be eligible for the Reverie. Of course, this deal was bound to fail as Koby was a part of SWORD, which meant that technically, he wasn’t a part of the Navy anyway.
However, now, Teach has access toGarp, a far bigger Heroand someone who the Navy cannot ignore. The negotiations between Teach and the World Government will begin soon and lead to the greatest war since the Paramount War.

The negotiations between Blackbeard and the World Government will likely be made public by Teach in a very strategic tactic. This way, the World Government will be humiliated in public. They cannot ignore Garp, as he is the symbol of peace. At the same time, they cannot give in to the demands of the pirates either, as that would crush their image.

The only way out of this for them is to attack Blackbeard and defeat him, all thewhile rescuing Garp before he is executed. War on the Pirate Island is inevitable and it is only a matter of time before it begins. This war is definitely going to parallel the Marineford War, only this time, Oda will make it much bigger.
Will Luffy Join The Pirate Island War?
The Pirate Island War will be fought by the likes of the Blackbeard Pirates and the Navy, including Marine Admirals,and potentially even the Serpahims. At the same time, fans will likely see the involvement of other Yonko in this war. Buggy is one to watch out for, as he might team up with Blackbeard due to both of them having a common enemy.
Shanks is on the lookout for Teach, so he could show up here as well, and finally, Luffy is bound to show up, especially since it is his grandfather’s life that hangs in balance. This war could potentially see all the Yonko fight a chaotic battle, as the Navy and the World Government try their best to rescue Garp. Undoubtedly, it is going to be an absolutely massive war, and one that will have huge repercussions, and all fans need to do is wait patiently for Oda to focus onthe events outside of Elbaf.
