Gunko Vs The Straw Hat Pirates Was A Shocking Battle

One Piecechapter 1146 finally gave fans their first big Straw Hat Battle in the Elbaf arc, and it was just as fans had imagined it to be. Without the Monster Trio, fans knew that any battle against the Holy Knights was going to be quite difficult to win. Most fans had predicted for the fight to be very deadly, but none would’ve predicted for it go the way it did. Despite having a 1.1 billion berry pirate, Jinbe, on board the Svalr, the Straw Hat Pirates were not able to do anything against Gunko.

To put that into perspective, the crew faced off against Big Mom in Whole Cake Island when they were much weaker and fared quite well. Now, despite being stronger, they were utterly demolished in battle. Gunko was able to redirect all their attacks, and land all of hers, all the while showcasing another terrific ability in One Piece chapter 1146.

We are not mere humans. We are Gods! — Gunko to Straw Hats

Much to the surprise of the fans,Gunko is officially revealed to have the power of regeneration, which means that just like the Abyss, the Holy Knights also have regeneration abilities up their sleeve, making them especially powerful. Gunko was able to knock all the members of the Straw Hat crew off the Svalr, and essentially beat them all effortlessly. Meanwhile, Collun, who was her target right from the very beginning, was taken hostage by her, and now, the war against the Giants is going to be much easier.

Killingham Destroys The Walrus School

Killingham Prepares For A Country-Wide Announcement

As Gunko made her move inOne Piecechapter 1146, few expected the other Holy Knights to head to different locations for their respective objectives. But, as was clear in the chapter, that’s what happened.Saint Killingham was seen right after Gunkoin the chapter, and he went to Walrus School, where he absolutely demolished Principal Walrus in battle and paralyzed Ange.

He then found a giant snail, using which he intends to communicate with the entirety of Elbaf. Or, to be more specific, he intends for Sommers to delivera message to the entirety of Elbaf, which will finally set up the main conflict of the Elbaf arc in One Piece. As explained earlier, the Elbaf arc is getting incredibly intense, and One Piece 1146 was most certainly a massive step in the right direction.

Saint Sommers Prepares For A Major Announcement

Saint Sommers Defeats Vice Admiral Saul

Just as Killingham made his move, Sommers had also set out, as seen in One Piece chapter 1146. It seems that Sommers’s mission is to guard the children and prevent anyone from coming close to them. Since Saul was trying to stop them previously, now, Sommers had to intervene himself. A massive battle was seen unfolding inOne Piecechapter 1146 between Sommers and Saul, and to nobody’s surprise, Saul was utterly defeated in combat by Sommers with little effort.

Schools? Libraries? Don’t kid yourselves! You guys are mercenaries! — Sommers to the Giants

Now, Sommers is ready for the major announcement, which will likely follow inOne Piecechapter 1147. Before he began, however, he essentially confirms to the fans that Harald was on their side and had offeredthe power of Elbafto the World Government as their mercenary forces in the Great War. That said, this wasn’t necessarily to sell his people out. The idea here seems to be that Harald did it for the safety and benefit of his own people, but Loki, being against the idea, killed him before it could happen.

One Piece chapter 1147 will be out very soon, later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on the upcoming Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
