Now, a Reddit user called GnoblinXD made an interesting discovery: it’s possible to leave Cyrodiil inOblivion Remastered. Normally, gamers are stopped by invisible walls when they try to leave Cyrodiil, but GnoblinXD discovered that it was possible to enter Valenwood by following along the Strid River from Skingrad to Kvatch. At some point, to the south ofthe Oblivion Gate in Kvatch, gamers can jump into the Strid River and then climb up the hills to reach Valenwood. As expected, the area is devoid of any actual content, but the whole landmass can be explored, and it consists of a huge area with plains, mountains, and more. I personally replicated GnoblinXD’s feat, using the same entrance to Valenwood, and can confirm that it works in the current version of the game.

How to Leave Cyrodiil in Oblivion Remastered

However, there’s a catch discovered by GnoblinXD. The gamer eventually headed west into the ocean, trying to enter the Summerset Isles, as there seemed to be a landmass on the horizon, but the water was not swimmable outside of Cyrodiil, and they fell into the void. It’s possible to save the game outside of Cyrodiil, but saves will not load. So, it’s important that gamers save before trying to replicate this, or they may lose progress.

This discovery shows justhow faithful to the original gameOblivion Remasteredis. As some old-school players may know, it was already possible to leave Cyrodiil using similar methods in the original 2006 title.
