Oblivion Remasteredgives the playersall the freedom to explore its world, but it leaves out a lot of details regarding that world. There are many landmarks on the map that you’re able to fast travel to. There are some minor landmarks that can give you great benefits, but aren’t visible on the map. Among these minor landmarks are rune stones,powerful stone formationscovered in, well, runes, that give you certain boons when activated. There aren’t any requirements for activating a rune stone, but they can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look.
What Are Rune Stones, And How Do They Work?
Rune stones are a minor landmark that players can find scattered around Cyrodiil. There are three types of rune stones:Hestra,Reman, andSidri-Ashak. Each rune stone gives the player adifferent kind of bound weaponand armor.
Unfortunately, the summoned items only remain for a short amount of time, around 5 minutes of real-world time. However, these stones can be used multiple times a day. They cannot be unequipped until their duration runs out.
Each stone can only be activated once per day, though other stones of the same type can be activated.
Hestra Rune Stone Locations in Oblivion Remastered
Hestra Rune Stonesgive the player a Bound Daggerand Gauntlet. The gauntlets give you3 armor, while the dagger gives you5 damage. Hestra Rune stones glow alight green colorand are found atten locationswithin Cyrodiil.
It is easier to spot rune stones at night because of their characteristic glowing runes.
Reman Rune Stone Locations in Oblivion Remastered
The Reman Rune Stones grow apeculiar cyan colorand arguably give the player the best armor and weapon combo. It grants youa two handed sword and a cuirass. The sword deals10 damagewhile the cuirass has anarmor rating of 6. These stones are found innine locations.
Two icons, one for the bound weapon and one for the bound armor, are located on the bottom left of the screen when a rune stone is activated. You can use these icons to tell how much time is left before your bound equipment disappears.
Sidri-Ashak Rune Stone Locations in Oblivion Remastered
Sidri-Ashak Rune Stones have a bright green glow and are the best choice forlong-range players,as they give you aBound Bowand a bound helmet. The bow has adamage rating of 7while the bound helmet has anarmor rating of 3. Combined, they make fora balanced build for an archer. These stones are only found atfive locationsin the game.
