Summary

The Pokemon Company has revealed the next life-sizedPokemonplush joining its collection, and this time, Eevee is getting the special treatment. Eevee follows other Pokemon like Slowpoke, Porygon, and Gardevoir to become part of the exclusivePokemonplush line.

Eevee has never lost its luster since being introduced in Gen 1 of thePokemonfranchise. The unique creature’s ability to transform into so many different elemental types and the cute designs each one has have helped keepEevee popular, while others have faded further into the background of the over 1000 Pokemon roster.

Now, Eevee is joining the life-sizedPokemonplushie collection, and it’s quite cute. Eevee is depicted as lying down on its belly, and looks upwards. While exact measurements for the plush haven’t been revealed yet, Eevee is only about a one foot tall according to the Pokedex, so fans should expect it to be that size.

ThePokemonplush is arriving atPokemon Centersin Japan on April 26, with pre-orders opening on April 24. The product is also arriving on Amazon Japan, with pre-orders opening on April 26 and going on-sale on May 3. However, the Pokemon Center has already warned fans that supplies could be limited, and that the full allotment of plushies could be sold via pre-order. Eevee will cost 3850 yen, or roughly $27 USD via currency conversions at the time of publication. It’s a pretty reasonable price for a plush, especially considering the cost of some of the largerlife-sized official Pokemon plushies. For example, Gardevoir cost $319, Porygon was $390, and Psyduck was $288.

Pokemon Doesn’t Stop Celebrating Eevee

While fans have objected to the lack of new Eeveelutions in the series over the last several generations, the franchise never seems to wander too far away from Eevee itself. Just prior to this Eevee plush going on sale, the Pokemon Center quickly sold out ofEeveelution Bear Walker skateboards. It’s clear that The Pokemon Company knows that Eevee is a popular Pokemon, even if it hasn’t responded to fans' demands for it to get a new form.

Over the years, there have been plenty of Eevee plush toys released, including the Build-a-Bear Eevee, which had the distinction of being the second Pokemon ever released in the line, only following Pikachu. Though it took six years, all of the Eeveelutions eventually received Build-a-Bear versions, culminating with Sylveon in 2022. Its popularity also led toEevee Squishmallow, which released in 2024.
