Summary

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetreleased a new code distribution event in which players can claim a special Rillaboom. The Rillaboom code distribution event inPokemon Scarlet and Violetruns until July 31, so trainers have at least three months to add this special critter to their collections.

Known as the Drummer Pokemon, Rillaboom first appeared inPokemon Sword and Shield. Rillaboom is the fully-evolved form of starter Pokemon Grookey and Thwackey, and it uses a special tree stump as a drum that channels its attacks. Rillaboom’s signature move is Drum Beating, which summons roots to attack the target and lower its speed statistic. Rillaboom can take advantage of its high attack stat with moves like Boomburst and Wood Hammer, meaning it can hold its own in most battle situationscompared to other Grass Pokemon Starters.
