Summary
Out of the many clans inNaruto, the Senju clan is the one that stands out the most. It was the most dominant clan during the Warring States Period. Even the geniuses in the Uchiha clan were unable to stand up to the might of the Senju.
Over the years, the Senju clan has produced some of the most talented ninjas, who have gone on to dominate entire battlefields with their might. Obviously, there are certain exceptions, and Nawaki Senju is one of them.
Nawaki Senju Is The Biggest Failure Of The Clan
Nawaki Senju was the grandson ofHashirama Senju, the First Hokageof the Hidden Leaf. His grand-uncle was Tobirama Senju, who served as the Second Hokage. Nawaki’s older sister, Tsunade, was a member of the Legendary Sannin. Since he was affiliated with so many well-known ninjas, everyone expected him to do well.
Nawaki also seemed confident in his abilities. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have made a proclamation about becoming the Hokage. Unfortunately, Nawaki couldn’t even get close to his dream, as he ended up dying due to an explosive tag. Nawaki probably had no idea that enemy ninjas had laid a trap. Seeing Nawaki’s life being forfeit in such a manner affected Tsunade mentally, and she grew a strong repulsion towards blood. Considering his goals and lineage, it’s not an exaggeration to call Nawaki the biggest letdown of the Senju clan.
The Senju Clan Is Filled With Legends
As previously stated, the Senju clan birthed many notable ninjas. Some of them include:
Out of the three,Hashirama Senju is the most famous. From his childhood, Hashirama showed immense promise, and he caught the eye of his fellow kinsmen. He fought against Uchiha adults and was able to beat them without too many problems. It’s hardly surprising that Hashirama was ultimately elected to lead the Senju clan in the Warring States Period.
Hashirama Senju possessed insane chakra reserves, meaning he could fight for hours without getting tired. Additionally, it allowed him to use large-scale jutsu that wouldn’t be possible for other ninjas. Hashirama’s biggest asset wasthe Wood Release, a Kekkei Genkai. With the Wood Release, Hashirama could tame the tailed beasts and make them completely harmless. Moreover, he could use the ability to create massive wooden structures that could dwarf a full-body susanoo. If these abilities weren’t enough, Hashirama could also use the Sage Mode, which enabled him to harness natural energy. This made him an even deadlier foe.
In his heyday, Hashirama managed to crush the likes of Madara, Kakuzu, and several others. His victories were a testament to his strength and his superiority over others.
Tobirama Helped Stabilize The Hidden Leaf
Tobirama succeeded Hashirama as the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. He respected his brother but did not share the same ideas. Tobirama was much more ruthless and shrewd than his brother. He cared only about keeping the village safe, and for that, he was willing to go to great lengths.Tobirama had a penchant for diplomacy, and it is safe to say that the Hidden Leaf made significant strides towards progress under his rule.
Coming to his strength, Tobirama was an excellent ninja who was second only to Hashirama and Madara.He created many jutsu that continueto be used decades after his death. Tobirama also came up with the Flying Thunder God, a powerful technique that caused problems for the Uchiha.
Nawaki’s sister, Tsunade Senju, is another prodigy of the Senju clan. Tsunade was trained by Hiruzen, who saw her talent, and she repaid his faith. It didn’t take long for Tsunade to gain popularity. She revolutionized the field of medicine and the role of a medical ninja. Without her contributions, ninjas around the world would have suffered a lot more injuries. She may not have had the same strength as Hashirama and Tobirama, but her contributions were just as big.
