This post contains spoilers for Naruto.
Summary
Masashi Kishimoto is one of the most famous manga authors in the world. As the creator ofNaruto, he is widely regarded as one of the best writers. In fact, Naruto has sold more than 100 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga of all time. It is one of thefew manga that has managed to hit this milestone.
There is no denying that Naruto is a series of the highest quality, but that doesn’t mean it does not have any imperfections. Fans who have been following the series since the very beginning know that there have been several occasions where the author forgot about the main details related to a character. Even the titular protagonist has been a victim of this problem.
Naruto Trained Hard To Master His Abilities
Naruto has been at the forefront of things since the inception of the series, which is hardly surprising considering he is the main lead. At the beginning, Naruto was very weak, and he needed help from his friends. Naruto continued to develop at a rapid rate, and he gained several power-ups. By the end of the series, he had access to abilities with which he could lay waste to entire armies.
Since he has so many powers at his disposal, it is difficult to pick the strongest. However, the common consensus is that Naruto’s Six Paths Sage Mode is his best power. He gained the abilityafter his interaction with Hagoromo Otsutsuki. The Six Paths Sage Mode significantly improved Naruto’s physical abilities, allowing him to fight against much more powerful foes. It also improved his chakra manipulation and enabled him to gather natural energy easily. This increased the efficiency of his attacks, making them more lethal.
The Six Paths Sage Mode also enhancedNaruto’s sensory perception, which allowed him to sense things that existed in other dimensions, such as Madara’s Limbo clones. The Six Paths Sage Mode also allowed Naruto to make contact with the Truth-Seeking Balls.
Naruto Should Still Have Access To Truth-Seeking Balls
Of course, having the Six Paths Sage Mode means that Naruto also has access to the Truth-Seeking Balls. They are made of the five basicnatures and Yin-Yang release. These balls can turn an opponent to dust, and no amount of healing could help them. Even the reanimated ninjas are powerless before the Truth-Seeking Balls.
Naruto had a total of nine Truth-Seeking Balls, which he could use to defend himself from incoming attacks. He could also utilize them to destroy his opponents. It’s quite clear that the Truth-Seeking Balls are a powerful weapon, and most people would rely on them in combat. So it’s surprising that Naruto never used this ability after the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Kishimoto Probably Didn’t Want To Include The Power
It is impossible for Naruto to lose all the Truth-Seeking Balls, so it is likely that Masashi Kishimoto forgot about the power altogether, or he just didn’t want to keep using them in the story. The latter makes more sense, as the Truth-Seeking Balls offer their users unfair advantages. So, it is possible that Kishimoto realized his folly and decided against utilizing them.
If Naruto still had the Truth-Seeking Balls, they would have saved him from a lot of trouble. Naruto would have put up better fights against the characters that he faced in Boruto. Since only people with Six Paths Sage Mode can touch the Truth-Seeking Balls, others have no option but to retreat or risk being turned to dust. Sadly, fans will never get to see Naruto use this particular power unless Kishimoto decides to change his mind.
Some fans think that Boruto was a mistake and the story should have stopped after Naruto became the Hokage, while others are quite fond of the sequel. Whether it was the right decision or not is a question for another time.
