After their battle helps Neji see the light, the prodigy of the branch family shows his heroic side numerous times in the series. While Hagoromo eventually became the Sage of the Six Paths, Hamura awakened the Byakugan and became the progenitor of the Hyuga clan. Both brothers had a huge impact on the world of shinobi that can be witnessed even now.

It turns out that Itachi was under orders from the higher-ups in the Leaf Village to prevent any chances of an Uchiha coup, with the ANBU prodigy’s sole condition being that Sasuke was protected at all times.
