My Hero Academia: You’re Nextis coming to streaming platforms later this month, but it apparently won’t be on Crunchyroll (at least, not for now). The fourth and most recent movie ofMy Hero Academia(MHA) will be added to Netflix in a few weeks.
Netflix has revealed in on its social media accounts. Unfortunately, it seems the movie will only be available in select regions, and not worldwide. Read on to learn all we know about this Netflix release.
My Hero Academia: You’re Next Release Date on Netflix
Netflix has just announced thatMy Hero Academia: You’re Next, the latest movie in the franchise, will be released on the service on Jul 02, 2025. It will be available in the US, Canada and “more regions”.
While the post doesn’t mention which regions these are, we can speculate that this is part of a licensing deal made with Sony/Crunchyroll, and thus they will probably add the movie in places where Crunchyroll operates, like Latin America, Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand and so (the movie will not necessarily be added to all the territories mentioned here).
It is likely that the movie will be added with dubs in a few languages. What’s interesting here is that Crunchyroll hasn’t added it to their own service yet.
You’re Nextwas released in Japan in August 2024, with mostly positive reception. It then hit theatersin the US and Canada in October, subbed and dubbed in English.
Unfortunately, there is no information ifA Piece of Cake, a prequel OVA that was bundled with the DVD/BD release in Japan, will also be added to the service. The movie is already available for rental and/or purchase digitally, but this OVA hasn’t made its way to international audiences yet, so it seems unlikely.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Is Now Streaming
The news comes at a great time, sinceMy Hero Academia: Vigilantes, a canon spin-off set a few years before the main series, is nowairing on Japanese TV and international streaming platforms.
MHA: Vigilantesdebuted earlier this week, and new episodes are out on Mondays if no sudden changes take place. They are added to Crunchyroll following the Japanese schedule, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
In October 2025, the long-awaited final season ofMy Hero Academiawill be released, finally bringing the anime series to an end (althoughsome fans didn’t like how the manga ended).
My Hero Academiamain series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
