My Hero Academiais filled with incredible characters, both heroes and villains, who have defined the series. While there are endless characters to love and cherish, there are just as many to dislike and hate. inister and detestable individuals leave sour tastes in the mouths of fans and garner a large amount of hate. Here are some of the most hateable characters inMy Hero Academia, ranked.
8Endeavor
A Former Source Of Physical And Mental Abuse
Endeavor is a complicated character inMy Hero Academia, to say the least. Originally introduced as the number two hero, Endeavor is a flame-wielding hero who strives obsessively to overtake All Might. Endeavor is also revealed to be the father ofTodoroki Shoto, a title that carries a tragic story of how Todoroki endured endless abuse by his father, who pushed him to become a hero and surpass All Might.
Endeavor’s obsession with All Might pushed him to commit unspeakable acts against his family and even cost the life of his child. Further on in the series, he begins a long road of a redemption arc. However, many fans find it hard to forgive the past actions of the current number one hero.
7Muscular
Muscular’s first appearance is one of Deku’s most challenging fights in the entire series. The fight-hungry vagrant is a powerhouse whose quirk allows him to manipulate his own muscle fibers, granting him incredible strength. However, instead of facing a worthy opponent, Muscular takes pleasure in destroying the weak.
There is no limit to how far Muscular will go, from slaughtering women and children to torturing his victims in front of their families. Muscular is the epitome of despicable, and one of the most hated villains in the series.
6Bakugo
A Hero Whose Attitude Ruins His Efforts
Bakugo is a student much like Deku, who is attending UA academy and on his way to becoming a prominent hero.Unfortunately, Bakugo’s personality is as explosive as his quirk, and rubs people around him the wrong way.
Bakugo is quick to anger and yells more often than speaking in a normal tone of voice. There are not a lot of likable traits to him as a character. Perhaps the most heinous aspect of Bakugo is his relentless bullying of Deku, which lasted from early childhood to their time at UA. Bullying is an unacceptable act, and even with an apology, Bakugo will have to wear the shame of his insecurities for life.
5Dr. Kyudai Garaki
A Loyal Henchman To All For One And Just As Twisted
No character is more evil than a character who facilitates evil. Dr. Garaki was a sinister reveal inMy Hero Academiaas a man who has been aiding All For One for hundreds of years. Dr. Garaki’s servitude to the demon lord All For One involved kidnapping, the harvesting of quirks, human experimentation, and much more that would turn the stomachs of most fans.
Even worse, Dr. Garaki revels in how useful he became to All For One and shows no sign of remorse for his actions. Dr. Garaki has ruined hundreds of lives, and most of his victims have been lost to history, thanks to his quirk that extends his lifespan.
4Valldo Gollini
A Poor Imitation of The World’s Greatest Hero
Valdo Gallini is the main antagonist of the animated filmMy Hero Academia: You’re Next. His debut introduced audiences to a ruthless crime boss who had terrorized Europe for over a decade.
Cutting down anyone in his way, even his own family, Valldo changedafter All Might’s retirement. Becoming obsessed with the hero, he altered his physical appearance, adopted All Might’s personality, and tried to replace the symbol of peace. However, Valdo only fakes heroism and still possesses the persona of a hardened killer who believes strength is the dominating factor of the world.
3Re-Destro
An Ultimate Narcissist
Re-Destro was overshadowed by the threat of Shigaraki and the League of Villains. However, the man behind the Meta Liberation Army is a sadist of an individual. While he does genuinely believe in a better world for people with quirks, that is where Re-Destro’s reasonable traits come to an end.
He despises the current state of hero society and leads his Liberation Army to reshape the world by any means necessary. Incredibly ruthless, Re-Destro kills his own subordinates for disrespecting his cause and holds no hesitation in slaughtering whoever gets in his way. On top of being a cold-blooded killer, he is a pretentious scumbag who loves the sound of his own voice.
2Overhaul
A Monster In The Shape Of A Man
Overhaul was the short-lived antagonistinMy Hero Academiaseason four. As the leader of a yakuza group, Overhaul uses his quirk to take out his competition and gain more power. Unfortunately, Overhaul also uses his quirk to harness the power of his younger sister, Eri.
To do this, Overhaul subjects the young Eri to rigorous torture that involves completely dismantling her body and rebuilding her from scratch over and over again. Overhaul’s sinister personality was more than enough to earn fans' dislike, but the total disregard for Eri as a person can never be forgiven.
1All For One
The Demon Lord Himself
All For One has been the darkness creeping around the world for over one hundred years. As the self-proclaimed demon king, he revels in being the villain that the heroes rally against, only to fall one by one and become a footnote in his legacy.
While most villains' motivation involves power and control, the sadistic All For One does it out of want. He wants to be the bad guy, the source of fear in the world, and he commits the most ruthless acts possible to do so. All For One has ended many lives and nearly fractured entire countries before being stopped by All Might. While a terrific villain, it’s pretty easy to hate All For One.
