For the unaware, minor Bubbleblight helps players by extending the invulnerability frames of their dodge rolls. Meanwhile, major Bubbleblight harms players bymaking them stagger and slip when dodging. The latter also increases the damage hunters take from attacks that would blow them away.
When using Bubbly Dance, you’ll completely prevent major Bubbleblight from affecting you. On top of that, you’ll get a significant boost to your evasive capabilities whenaffected by minor Bubbleblight, which you may get just by dodging three times. This effect is very beneficial for almost every playstyle, though users of weapons like Dual Blades, Bows, Long Swords, and other light weapons tend to benefit more from it.
Should You Use Bubbly Dance?
Bubbly Dance is great if you’re having trouble with Bubbleblight while fighting a Mizutsune, but apart from that monster, players may get the same mileage out of using an armor set with Evade Window 5.
The advantage of using Bubbly Dance 2 with four pieces of the Mizutsune armor is that you’ll get the benefits of having more dodge i-frames without using talismans or decorations for Evade Window, allowing a bit more flexibility when it comes to builds.
Additionally, this skill synergizes withSlicked Blade, an equipment skill that’s unique to the Mizutsune’s weapons. When afflicted with minor Bubbleblight, Slicked Blade will give players up to +21% more Affinity, with an additional 9% when they’re wet.
The downside of this is that in order to get the most out of Bubbly Dance, you need four pieces of the Mizutsune set. Ironically, this ends up limiting buildcrafting options.
A full Mizutsune set with a matching weapon will do well against a monsterthat’s weak to Water damage.
