Summary
Capcom has stated that the company will begin cracking down hard on cheaters inMonster Hunter Wilds. This announcement came on the heels of some players worrying that cheaters would be taking over the new time-based quests that came out inMonster Hunter Wilds’Title Update 1.
Capcom been releasing new content forMonster Hunter Wildsever since its launch. Title Update 1 brought along with it new monsters to hunt, morehigh-rank monsters like Zoh Shia, and a new quest type that has players competing to down monsters the fastest. But some players have voiced concerns that cheaters might have a big edge in these timed quests, and this has caused the developers to respond.
In order for the new timed quests inMonster Hunter WildsTitle Update 1to be both fun and fair for everyone, the developers have promised to “take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools.” In order to accomplish this, players have been asked to report others that seem to be using any kind of cheats by pressing the report button on that hunter’s profile screen.
Developers Promise Players Action Against Cheating
Any players that have been proven to be using cheats can have their accounts suspended or can be restricted from earning rewards from quests they complete. This includes the full team of people working together if any of the hunters are proved to be “exhibiting prohibited behaviour.” This makes it imperative to not only report suspicious players, but also to keep tabs on those played with most often. Making sure friends are not cheating is a good way to prevent them from being banned.
