Releasing on April 22,MLB The Show 25’s Update 9 brings bug fixes to a variety of modes, including Diamond Dynasty, Road to the Show, and Franchise. Road to the Show has fixed its difficulty issue which would sometimes have opponents playing at a higher difficulty than the level selected. Franchise mode now has more proper budgeting, with prorated player salaries applied after mid-season trades. The update also fixes the guess pitch feature, which should come in handy forMLB The Show 25’s pesky submarine and sidearm pitchers.
MLB The Show 25Update 9 also makes a noteworthy change to Diamond Dynasty, raising the buy/sell order limit for player items at 90-05 OVR from 500,000 to 750,000, opening the door for more high-value trading and flipping for the most in-demand cards. While the intent appears to be to help reflect the true market value of the elite-tier cards, the increased ceiling does mean players will need to amass higher quantities of Stubs. Thankfully, there are a few waysMLB The Show 25players can make a ton of Stubs.
With a largely positive initial reception and regular updates to improve the overall experience, the future ofMLB The Show 25looks bright. However, there is a platform that has yet to announce itself as part of that future. While a few have been confirmed, theNintendo Switch 2’s sports library is still missing a couple of giants, includingMLB The Show,EA Sports College Football, andForza. With its substantially more powerful hardware than its predecessor, fans are hopingMLB The Show 25gets the call-up to Switch 2 later this year.
