Summary

OneMinecraftplayer noticed the lack of volcanoes in the game and decided to create a biome concept built around the geological feature. While Mojang often adds new biomes toMinecraft, many in the community think that not having a volcano-themed region is a missed opportunity.

Since its initial release, theopen world ofMinecrafthas expanded significantly, with the Java edition having numerous biomes and Bedrock including even more. From jungles to deserts and many other environments in between, players can encounter many different places while exploring. In addition, some biomes, such as Mushroom Fields, home to Mooshrooms, are rare, making their discovery even more exciting. As Mojang continues to expand the world ofMinecraftwith new biomes, some fans think one concept would make an excellent addition.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as Cardycraft shared a biome concept focused on volcanoes that utilized the game’s often occurring lava. Impressively, the Reddit user shared an image of volcano terrain they had created inMinecraft, showing what it could look like. Their design included one large volcano with small lava streams feeding down to the base. In addition, they added small lava lakes surrounded by dark-colored ground, seemingly scorched by the harsh environment.

Minecraft Fan’s Volcano Biome Concept

This biome concept has caught the attention of theMinecraftcommunity, with over 5K users already upvoting the concept. In the comments, other gamers weighed in on the idea and offered ways that it could be added to thelist of officialMinecraftbiomes. Many said they had never thought of volcanoes being absent despite lava being a common occurrence. In addition, some believed it would be cool if the volcanoes in the biome could erupt periodically. However, some thought this could be hard to implement.

Besides this volcano concept, other fans have come up with other biome ideas. Notably, one Reddit user known as AnouuSi previously suggested asand dune biome forMinecraft. While the game already has deserts, this idea could put a unique visual spin on the environment. In addition, they claimed it would stand out when compared to the recently updated desert biome, which now includes short and tall grass.

While fans will have to see if these biomes will ever be added to the game, they can take hope in knowing the developer continues to add new environments. For example, thePale Garden from the December game dropadded a visually distinct area that included new blocks and the Creaking mob. Time will tell if any of these fan concepts make their way into the game as official content from Mojang.
