These requests were finally answered whenMarvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classicslaunched on PlayStation 4 and PC in late 2024. The collection would be released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One at a later date, with the former bringing with it an update that addressed numerous bugs and technical issues in the original release. Meanwhile, theXboxMarvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collectionlaunchcame as a surprise back in February 2025, with Xbox even offering the action-packed compilation at a discount price for a limited time.
Now, Capcom has announced a new free update forMarvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which will be released on April 16. Many highly requested features will be added through this update, such as offline Versus Mode in all titles. Menus will now be opened with a long press during online play to avoid accidentally pausing a game in the heat of combat, and games can now be reset through the pause menu. New artwork foreachMarvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collectiongameby Capcom artist Shinkiro will be added, as well as new music tracks by CAP-JAMS from the Capcom Sound Team.
More game-specific updates include the ability to switch between three different versions ofX-Men vs. Street Fighterand new resolution options forMarvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Additionally, the previously mentioned resolution options, offline versus modes, menu button settings, and game reset updates will be added toCapcom Fighting Collectionand theupcomingCapcom Fighting Collection 2at some point, but there is no release date for this at the present time.
