Players are sure to have a unique adventure inLushfoilas they explore every nook and crevice of the diverse maps, uncovering many secrets, and snapping new photos that get better and better with every click. During an interview with Game Rant,Lushfoil Photography Sim’s sole developer Matt Newell highlighted the advantages of working alone, and lovingly crafting maps based on real-life locations, where players can capture the perfect picture.
A One-Person Development Team
Working on a game alone involves a great deal of hard work, but Newell’s efforts attractedthe interest of Annapurna Interactive, who agreed to publishLushfoila few years ago. Teams with many voices providing ideas can work more efficiently, but can also become too crowded, whereas a solo project provides something much more streamlined, personal, and unique.
“The main advantage of working alone is that it’s easier to keep a consistent vision. Everything in the game can be very intentionally designed, all to suit the same purpose. I hope people can get a sense of that while playing.”
A solo-developed game often showcases the unique vision of one person, without the input of others spoiling their original concept. Newell’s vision has certainly been realized and is a must-play title for players with similar interests in traveling, nature, and photography.
Sharing Images
Those who playLushfoilwill naturallytake many stunning photographs, and they are encouraged to share them with the wider community. When asked where players should upload their snapshots, Newell recommended social media where he is active. He mentioned that he loves looking at the photos taken by other people in the game, even quipping that “most of them are honestly better than what I could take.”
