Summary
The cabbage thief is an NPC inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2who players can stumble upon and determine his fate. There are a few different outcomes based on what players decide to do with the cabbage thief, but it’s recommended to keep him alive as he can make a type of food that gives an incredible buff to Henry.The only problem is that he needsCabbage.
Players will first hear about the cabbage thief inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2in two ways. The first is by speaking withthe Bailiff of Troskowitz, who will tell Henry about a grocer who is havinga problem with a thief. The second way isto bypass the Bailiff completelyand talk to the grocer, himself, who will tell Henry about his problem. It turns out thatsomeone is stealing his cabbages, and it’s gotten so bad that the grocer has basically lost half his field to the thief. Henry must follow the trail of cabbages to find the thief and determine what to do with him.
Where To Get Cabbage for the Cabbage Thief in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Players should first head to the grocer, which isto the east of Semine. The NPC that players are looking for is a man namedPeasant. The other men on the farm are simply Hired Hands and won’t speak to Henry. After speaking with the farmer, he’ll tell Henry thata thief has been stealing his cabbage.
Players must have Henry look into the matter. The first task is simply to find where the cabbage thief is hiding. The good news is thathe’s left a trail of cabbages for Henry to follow. Starting at the farm, and in particular the cabbage field, players should follow along the road.
Following the trail of cabbages is relatively easy, but some can be spaced quite far apart,so players may go a little while without seeing one.
Players should collect these cabbages as they follow the trail, since it can give them around 25 cabbages alone. They can then use these initial cabbages to trade with the thief.
Eventually, the trail will take players into the woods. This particular part of the trail can be tricky since the cabbages areeasy to miss in the tall grass. Some are even in a pond and stream, so pay close attention. If players are searching at night, thenbrewing some Nighthawkand using it can be very helpful for this stage.
At some point, players will come across a few wooden planks forming a bridge across a small stream. Use the bridge, and not far from the other side,players should notice a cart full of cabbages. Just ahead of the cart is a steep hill with an encampment built into it. On the map, this place of interest is called “Cabbage Cave.”
Head up to the cave and players will meetSauerkraut Pepa–the notorious cabbage thief. He’s a simple guy, though, and all he wants to do is make sauerkraut from cabbage.Players have three options at this point. They include:
If players want the food buff that Pepa can offer, then they’ll want to chooseto leave him alone. In gratitude, Pepa tells Henry that he’s willing to make him sauerkraut whenever he wants. He just needs to provide Pepa with cabbage.That’s where the hunt begins.

Where To Steal Cabbages in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
While players can certainly buy cabbages, there are also cabbages outin the world to steal. One of the first places where players can steal cabbage is atthe farm near Semine, which originally hired him to find the thief. There area number of cabbagesjust lying about the field that the farmer doesn’t have an interest in.
Players can scoop them up and bring them to Pepa.
More challenging thefts are in villages at food stalls. Stealing a vendor’s cabbage right from the stall is possible, but since stealing can carry some hefty punishments, players will want to make surethey’re as stealthy as possible. Breaking into a grocer’s home–and their lauder, in particular–can be another great way to find and steal cabbage.
Finally, most homes have afood larder. Players can break in, snoop through their provisions, and steal any cabbage they find.
Where To Get Cabbage in the World in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
A final place where players can get cabbage for Pepa inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2is atcertain places of interest. One location isthe overturned two-wheel cart. This place of interest is in the southern portion of the Trosky map.
If players get to the cart, they’ll find several cabbages spilled beside the cart. They can also find a few more in some barrels in the water–if they can manage to get Henry close to them. While this area is a one-off, there are still some free cabbages that players can easily getwithout breaking the lawor spending money.
