When Will Stell Ball Run Anime Be Released?

At the time of writing, there is noupdate regarding Steel Ball Run’s release date. A safe bet would be early 2027, especially since the anime didn’t release a proper PV. The teaser was under a minute, and it hardly had any new animation. According to reports, the anime only entered production in December 2024, so it makes sense that they only released a teaser and not a full-fledged trailer.

Fans should be patient, as there will be more updates in the coming months. It is highly likely that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will have a stage at Jump Festa 2026. The event takes place at the end of the year, and all major series make big announcements after they take the stage. So, there is no reason to believe that at least a trailer or the releasewindow for Steel Ball Run won’t be confirmed.

Aside from the confirmation about the Steel Ball Run anime, there were other announcements on JOJODay. One of them was about a new video gamebased on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. An exhibition called JOJOCARVAN, commemorating the announcement of Steel Ball Run, was also revealed.

The Rumors About The Anime Began In 2024

The speculation about the Steel Ball Run anime being in the works started in 2024 when Viz Media announced the English release of the manga. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Viz Media confirmed that Steel Ball Run Volume 1 would be released in May 2025.

The Steel Ball Run anime will be producedby David Production, the same studio that has worked on the previous parts. Currently, the studio is busy with Fire Force’s final season, so it’s understandable why the staff only recently began working on Steel Ball Run.

The biggest question on the minds of fans will be whether the anime will be released on Netflix in batches like Stone Ocean. Most fans hated the format, as they had to wait for months before they could watch more episodes. Additionally, it caused many people to lose interest in Stone Ocean. Hopefully, things will be different this time around.
