Actor Alix Wilton Regan has appeared in numerous acting roles over the years, including Samantha Traynor inMass Effect 3, the Inquisitor inDragon Age: Inquisition(andThe Veilguard), and Aya/Amunet inAssassin’s Creed Origins. Her work hasn’t ceased either, as the last year or so of her career has been incredibly busy. She has served as executive producer onTales of Kenzera: Zau, she recorded the final lines forThe Inquisitor inDragon Age: The Veilguard, and she was announced as the actor Joanna Dark in thePerfect Darkreboot. And those are only the things she can talk about.

Characterizing this career period as “lucky,” Wilton Regan spoke with Game Rant about her various career endeavors followingTales of Kenzera: Zau’s “Game Beyond Entertainment” winat the BAFTA Game Awards. She understandably could not say much about her role as Joanna Dark, but she did touch on what it was like to be cast as her.

There are still plenty of surprises for 2025, with Wilton Regan teasing her appearance in a few games coming later this year. While she could not confirm any of these new 2025 games, she did give fans a little teaser: “There are also a few other things that I’ve been in that will be released later this year, but I’m not allowed to confirm that I’m in. My hint to people reading this is that, if you listen very carefully to some trailers that have already dropped, you will hear my voice across them. That’s all I can say.” As it stands,Perfect Darkdoes not yet have a release window, but we do know that Wilton Regan is in it.

Perfect Darkdebuted in 2000 as a spiritual successor toGoldenEye 007, achieving incredible critical and commercial success. Later, a prequel released on the Xbox 360 that wasn’t quite as popular, but its multiplayer remained a total blast to play. Prior to this reboot, fans haven’t seenJoanna Dark sincePerfect Dark Zero, but that’s set to change.

When asked about stepping into the role, she summarized the phone call as…

“A wonderful offer that a girl like me just can’t say no to. ‘Would you like to step into this iconic British role, you know, this powerhouse of a female video game character?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, of course I would.’ Absolutely Brilliant.”

Joanna Dark’s appeal is certainly understandable, as beyond even the mereexcitement of thePerfect Darkreboot existingis the excitement behind the characters and world of that universe. Of course, fans are still in for a little wait. She could only add, “I think it’s quite well-documented that production’s ongoing, and it’s the thrill of a lifetime. It’s absolutely brilliant.”
