However, if you want to partake, then you’ll need to knowwhat’s required to access Zoh Shia’s unique high-rank mission.
How to Unlock Zoh Shia High Rank in Monster Hunter Wilds
If you’ve played through the main story ofMonster Hunter Wilds, you’ll remember that Zoh Shia is the so-called “final boss” monster that you encounter in the depths of Wyveria. However, the story initially pits you against the Low Rank version of this mythical monster, with no respective armor set to build after the battle.
That thankfully changed with the game’sTitle Update 1, which gives players access toa High Rank version of Zoh Shia.To unlock the requisite quest, however, you first need to reachHR 50. If you’re not quite there, ensure to stay on top of all your optional quests, which are found in each region, and gain experience in other ways, such as investigations, event quests, etc. The higher your Hunter Rank, the more quests and lucrative hunting opportunities will unlock for you.
Once you reach HR 50, a new mission inChapter 6-2,called’A First Cry,‘will become available. Meet with the Allhearken and Olivia back in Suja to discuss a strange occurrence at the Dragontorch, which, of course, leads to a new investigation of the area. Talk to Alma afterward, who will, in her usual fashion, ask if you’re prepared to pursue the quest and the fight to follow.
After selecting ‘I’m Ready,’ you’ll automatically travel back to the Dragontorch arena, where you fought Zoh Shia the first time.
General Tips For Beating Zoh Shia High Rank in Monster Hunter Wilds
Make sure that you have prepared what you need for the battle ahead of time, as this fight doesn’t pull any punches. While not a tempered version, in terms of difficulty, it definitely stands alongside with many tempered monsters, and others such asGuardian Arkveldand Gore Magala. Zoh Shia is particularly weak toDragonattacks, so consider bringing a weapon/ammo imbued with that element. Add your best Decorations to both your weapon and armor as well.
Also, remember that Zoh Shia doesn’t migrate to other areas during the fight like other monsters do, so be mindful of your item consumption throughout. Have full stock of items such as Mega Potions, Nulberries, Max Potions, Lifepowder, and any other practical recovery items. Also, consider bringing certain powerful buff items likeMega ArmorskinandMega Demondrug. These items in particular become very useful in the game’s most difficult encounters.
Upon defeating the Zoh Shia, you’ll get the chance to carve plenty of materials along with other generous rewards for your efforts. New Zoh Shia armor outfits will unlock as well, allowing you to craft striking new looks for your hunter.
Don’t forget to unlock all the other features included in the game’s Title Update 1 patch, such as the Grand Hub, and various other quests that lead to special event rewards and post-story monsters such as Mitsuzune.
