Cross save has finally arrived inVampire Survivors, allowing players to sync their progress and unlocks across multiple platforms. There are some unfortunate restrictions in place, however, and PlayStation users in particular will be disappointed by the currentVampire Survivorscross save implementation.
Cross progression has been teased forVampire Survivorsfor quite some time, but now it has arrived alongside the freeEmerald Dioramaexpansion that adds a bunch of content from Square Enix’sSaGaRPG franchise.Cross save forVampire Survivorsis super simple to set up, and more supported platforms may be added in future updates, too.
How to Set Up Cross Save in Vampire Survivors
To set up cross progression inVampire Survivorsand carry a save over to other platforms, players must firstcreate a Poncle account. The cloud button in the top-left corner of theVampire Survivorsmain menu will allow players to create an account and sync all of their data.
Once your Poncle account is created, save data fromVampire Survivorscan be transferred to other platforms by logging into that Poncle account, selecting “My Account” followed by “Manage Data” and then “Save Data,” and then pressing the “Save” button to push a save file into theVampire Survivorscloud save slot. This cloud save can then be loaded onto other platforms by repeating this process and choosing “Load Data” instead of “Save Data” in the account menu. Cloud saves don’t sync automatically, so players have to manually upload and download their save files before moving to another platform.
DLC cross-buy forexpansions likeOde to Castlevaniaisn’t supported inVampire Survivors, but transferring save data to a platform where players don’t own any DLC still works. In that instance, players just won’t have access to the DLC if they don’t own it on their current platform. All DLC options will be locked until the save data is downloaded onto a system where players own the correct expansions. Achievements may also unlock automatically whenVampire Survivorssave data is downloaded, but this depends on the active platform.
Currently,Vampire Survivorscross saves are supported on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Android, and iOS. Nintendo Switch compatibility is coming soon. Unfortunately, cross save is not available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5at the moment because of a last-minute legal issue that the development team has encountered. The chances of cross save coming to PlayStation consoles are slim, but it could still potentially happen down the line. The same goes for the Apple Arcade version ofVampire Survivors, which does not currently support cross save.
