Running every operation of a drug empire inSchedule 1is going to be hard for a single person, but thankfully, players can automate most of the process by hiring workers. There’s no shortage of manpower in this game, and if you want tostart making more money, it’d be wise to make use of this fact.

Hiring an employee is one thing, but getting them to do their job is a completely different thing altogether. In this guide, we’ll be covering the basics of how to make your workers work as well as other important things concerning the employee and automation system ofSchedule 1.

How to Use Employees in Schedule 1

Once you’ve hired your first employee from Manny in the Warehouse, he’ll give youthe Management Clipboard, which you’ll use for managing all your workers. Speaking of workers, you’ll find them waiting in front of your main house. For this guide’s sake, we’ll be using the Sweatshop on top of the Chinese restaurant.

Different employees have different jobs, and they’re completely different fromhow dealers work inSchedule 1. If you want them to start doing things, the same basic process applies to all of them. For the sake of this guide,we’ll be using the Handler employee as an example. The steps you need to take are as follows.

Setting worker route in Schedule 1

Assigning Beds and Workstations

First, you need to assign your worker to a suitable station. To do this, do the following:

To assign a worker to a station, repeat the process above, but select aworkstationinstead. Workstations vary depending on the worker, and you canassign workers to them via the clipboard:

Once you’ve assigned a bed to your employee, a suitcase will appear on it. Before your employees can start working for the day, you’ll need to deposit cash into their suitcase. Make sure to pay an ATM a visit. Otherwise, you could alwaysuse cheats inSchedule 1to make things easier.

If your worker requires Supplies, assign them to a container that has all the materials they need for their work. Botanists, for example, should be assigned to containers with seeds.

Setting Routes (Handlers)

Routes are basically waypoints that your employees will follow while working. By setting a route, workers will be able totake and bring items to and from storage containers. This means you won’t need to manually put items in their workstations in order for them to start working.

If done properly, your worker should now take relevant items from a storage container and process them at a workstation. Once they’re done, they’ll then take their processed items and store them in a desired container.

You can interactwith some Workstations using the clipboardand determine that station’s output destination from there. You’ll want to do this with Botanists so they store products in the right containers.

Make sure to keep your routes clear and short. If the AI’s pathfinding fails, your workers will just stand there and do nothing until you intervene.
