Bronze is the first step into metalcrafting inRunescape: Dragonwilds, and players will want to make a full suite of Bronze tools and equipment as soon as possible if they want to explore the rest of Ashenfall. This crafting material isn’t terribly hard to get, but it does involve several steps and a lot of walking.

Crafting items inRunescape: Dragonwilds, especially ones made of advanced materials, require a fair bit of processing and patience. If you’re trying to upgrade your gear to the next tier, here’s what you need to do to get Bronze.

How to Get Bronze in Runescape: Dragonwilds

To get Bronze, players will first need tounlock the Kiln and the Furnace. You can unlock the recipe for the Kilnby getting Clayin the swamps, and you can unlock the Furnace by getting some Coal and Fire Runes. Take note that these crafting stations must be placed outside, so attempt to account for that when building a base.

Now that you have these crafting stations setup, you’ll then need tomine some Copper and Tin. You can get both in theFractured Plains, which is about 700 meters north of Bramblemead Valley. Once you reach this region,go to the river in the west. You’ll find plenty of Copper and Tin Ore nodes near the riverbed and the cliff faces.

You will need a Bone Pickaxe in order to mine Copper and Tin. Rocksplosion won’t work either unless you have this specific pickaxe in your inventory.

The Fractured Plains contains level 3 monsters that deal a lot of damage. You’ll want to either make full use of your combat spells and other buffs, or just run away from and hope that they don’t catch you. Monsters will eventually lose interest in you after you run far away enough, but if enemies start hunting you down, you’ll have no choice but to stay and fight.

Once you reach the river, build a small house and a bed (or set up a shelter) to serve as an emergency spawn point. Alternatively, if you have the materials to build Lodestones, make two of those, then place one in your main base and another in the Fractured Plains. There are no restrictions on teleportation here, though you do need to have Law Runes in order to actually teleport away.

While you’re at the Fractured Plains, attempt to hunt some Sheep to get Fleece. You’ll need it to make Wool Threads, which are needed by most Bronze weapons and armor.

With Copper and Tin in tow, you can now craft Bronze in your Furnace. Place both metals in the input slots, then place some Coal as fuel. Once the Furnace starts cooking, wait for a bit or sleep the night away. However, if you want to smith Bronze into useful gear, you’ll need to make a Smithing Forge first.

It’ll take a few minutes before Copper and Tin nodes fully respawn, so you’ll want to carry as much ore as you’re able to before going back home. We strongly recommend getting Vault Cores and building Lodestones as soon as possible to minimize frustration.
