When you use a Rain Totem, its effect islocalizedto the specific region where you activate it. Pelican Town and Ginger Island each have their own weather system that operates separately. Additionally,Festival days inStardew Valleyhave pre-determined weather. If you use a Rain Totem the day before a festival, the weather on the festival day will be what the game has set it to be.Your Rain Totem will still be consumed, but it won’t result in rain on the festival day. This also applies to the very first day of each new season. Using a Rain Totem on the last day of the previous seasonwill not change the weather for the first day of the new season.
